Just wanted to say how much I appreciated this video. I just completed the same process on my G8 ( with 277,768 miles on it ). Of course I checked KZbin to see if there were any helpful videos before I got started. Watched a few but found yours to be the most helpful. After watching it twice I felt comfortable tackling the project which I can report was a complete success. So thank you! My G8 will be on the road for years to come and this video played a part in that. Thanks!

To get the stuck rotor off of a G8 just take a handheld torch and heat up the portion that sits on the hub facing you, so basically the area between the wheel studs. Lightly tap it with a hammer or rubber mallet and it'll break loose and cone off fairly easily.

the top washer ontop of the strut bushing is on upside down. it should be curved away from the strut bushing. bottom washer is in the correct orientation.

hey mate watching from australia, that top washer on your strut bushing is upside down, might cut itself a nice groove

Where did you buy the strut assembly? I'm trying to buy new struts but they all don't come with the springs

The struts and shocks I found the best price on eBay

Did you use Caprice shocks on the front too?
@JadXtreme Жыл бұрын

@@JadXtreme I've been trying to find a gt with under 70k miles for 4 years now but recently discovered a pacific slate blue and a striker blue gt that came to a buddies shop for repair before going to auction. All ignition Orange, Stryker blue and pacific slate blue were cars painted apparently after nov.20th 2008 each color ran for around 3 weeks then discontinued..so look at it this way your car falls in the 73 pontiac ta Brewster green holy Gail color in the collectors market 20 yrs from now.

@@flagcityparts interesting. I do know that IOM is the 2nd rarest color for these cars. Howbeit mine has about 146k miles on it and is a little rough around the edges. The body is straight but it needs a paint job for sure
