Good luck at the Pontiac Nationals. We never had luck running our MT slicks tubeless, hope they work. We always had to use inner tubes with a ton of baby powder

You know if you don’t have enough timing at idle for the cam, your vacuum will be a lot lower than it could be? Depending what cam you have, 25 or more at idle isn’t unusual. Put a MSD dist in it that uses advance stop bushings, and you can get a 10 degree advance bushing from FBO Systems. Also for a pcv valve use a Standard Products V173. It works properly with low idle vacuum engines, and often I see a 1” gain in idle vacuum with it, with no other changes.

Hi could you please tell me what size wheel and offset and tire size you installed on the le mans. I have a 70 gto and I would like to run a 15 x 8 with 4.5 inch backspace and a 245/60-15 tire in the front and it looks like you are running a 15 x 8 snowflake in the front that is why im asking.

the LeMans is the one you should have taken to the good guys in Columbus IMO, I had a LeMans a few years back with a 400 crate engine best running car with a nice ride, monster burnouts it would do lol, it was white I put creager's 12'' wide tire on the back air shocks glass pack mufflers old school all the way miss that car everyday, good luck at the Pontiac nationals that's where my old car will be if you see a white 73 with a 73 Pontiac sticker on the windshield film it please because that was mine, and yes I know 73 yuck but I liked it,

Nothing wrong with the 73. I kind of like the 73 lemans, GTO and grand am body style.

should have bought drag radials.slicks are on race cars
@vhp4543 ай бұрын
Drag radials compared to drag slicks depends on weight and suspension to hook up. My car runs MT slicks, hooks up better, but I'm running a 632 bbc and 3stages of nos, t400 transmission with brake and 3800 convertor and 410 gears

@@vhp454 he has a high 12 second car. with stock suspension.slicks are overkill.

I run Nitto DRs on my 81 TA. It’s a 461 Pontiac. 6X8 heads, turbo 350 trans with 3.08 gears. Runs l3.2s at 1000 ft elevation track. Probably run high 12s at Norwalk with it being almost sea level. Bottom line is the Nitto DRs work great. Heat them up and they stick nice. My brother runs the MT ET streets on his TA but he runs 9.4 @147 mph.

It's not totally out of the question for this car at some point, unfortunately that's a pile of money we prefer to spend on fun parts and reliability upgrades. The '68 WILL likely get painted once it's "done"
