Thanks for the video you made things a bit easier this time and all the information was pertinent and not just mindless specifications. And I must agree with the other post you have a way cool family and having 3 daughters of my own .I love the fact you don't try to keep them from helping on the van you seem to be a capable wrench and a great Dad . keep the video's coming .

My daughter and I are working on our 2002 minivan to replace the radiator. We're stuck at that little point that you're talking about in 9 minutes where you said about using the little tooth tool or a small screwdriver.. but you didn't show it lol! We can't get that bottom one off well we'll get it off but it's not cooperating. We did the same cheer when we got the fan out. When I was in college in the '70s I replaced my radiator myself so I told my daughter let's just do it. I had a 69 Cutlass and it was way easier than this minivan is!!! Too much stuff to take apart but we're in the home stretch now

Thanks for commenting! To remove that what you can use is a transmission line quick disconnect. Hope that helps! Other than that you can attempt to use a pick but your best bet is the quick disconnect.

Hello I have a question I had my radiator installed I got told I need a piece that goes on my radiator and the radiator is installed can I drive my car or will it be dangerous?

No dumb questions-- IS THERE room to release ir and drop it out the bottom w Van raised high ?
@jthrogm2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. I'm wondering how come you didn't talk about the AC condenser did you simply move it a little bit out of the way to get the radiator out without having to evacuate the refrigerant or disconnect any ac lines?

That’s exactly what I did

@S0nicpeed2 жыл бұрын
No but you can also support your engine if you’re worried about that

Where was your leak, I just did ours and it’s leaking somewhere from the driver’s side, I was thinking maybe the drain plug right. That’s the only thing I could think off. It’s is getting hot along with the upper hose but bottom hose and rad cap it’s cool. Any suggestions?
@S0nicpeed2 жыл бұрын
Could be the o ring on the drain plug, best option I can suggest is clean the area and try tracing the leak. I’m uncertain where this one was leaking

@@S0nicpeed ok I’ll try and see I was also informed about possibly bleeding the system with the ports of air and make sure fluid is coming out and in the motor
@S0nicpeed2 жыл бұрын
@@adamwilliams3960 to bleed the system which is basically as you said getting the air out, you can drive it after filling with coolant for about 10-15 minutes then allow it to cool and check to see the level

Chevrolet should be ashamed of making a radiator so thin. They all blow eventually in these vans
