This is an update video on the 1988 Pontiac Trans Am GTA, I show how to install the upgraded reproduction fiberglass spoiler. Please note the spoiler will not be an exact fit but will look and function great otherwise.

Came out nice. Good work. I recommend reusing the original headliner backer board if possible and reupholstering it, to ensure factory fit. The 3rd party ones tend to not fit well so well i've heard.

Mine was too far gone, the 3rd party one I used fits well for the most part except the very front edge.

I have an 88 Trans Am as well and got it with the original exhaust which had an exhaust leak pretty bad. If you’re looking to go with a stock appearance for replacing the tailpipes specifically there’s a company called Xlerator that makes the factory style v cut turn town tailpipes. I believe the part numbers are X3000 and X3001

looking good! would you mind going over your paint setup? I would also spray outside and am comfortable buffing out imperfections, just looking for recommendations that arent crazy expensive/pro level

I’ve sprayed with expensive equipment, Sata 2000/3000 HVLP spray guns, and big compressor tanks. And with lower level “beginner” equipment and the difference is minimal as long as you use good quality paint and supplies, PPG is my personal favorite. For a good beginner setup expect to pay about 100-150 on a decent HVLP spray gun, and about $200-$300 on a compressor. The compressor needs to be at least 20 gallons and 2hp and up to keep up with the spray demand, otherwise you will constantly have to wait until the tank fills. I have posted links in the description with recommended good starter paint equipment.
