I liked Pony Life at first. I'm all for hyper, random, goofy antics and chibi character designs. But the more I watched it the more I noticed that the whole "potions angle" seemed too akin to recreational drugs and/or alcohol abuse. Not cool. Potion Nova is totally a drug dealer and pusher, IMO. I'll be waiting around for G5 and enjoying FiM content in the meantime, but I'm done with Pony Life. And I wanted sooo much to like it... And it's nice to see you back Tootsie! I dig the Jojo references!

As much as I love to rant, the show isn't that bad. The worst about it is that some episodes are mediocre, but there are a lot of adorable moments that make the show worth watching: the CMC, Fluttershy fangirling over Finn Tastic, Rarity's "rapping" Tik Tok, etc. The issue with Pony Life is distinguishing itself from FiM while still be entertaining. The show should be like the IDW comics, taking advantage that it's an alternate universe, ignoring the continuity/lore, exploring the "what if" question. What if Applejack's father is alive in Pony Life? What if the Mane 6 met each other as fillies? What if Luna played video games? What if Santa existed in Equestria? What if Tempest Shadow is a famous wrestler?

I actually like the technology thing. But there not taking over the story there’s still morals that there learning and there’s a story it’s just that they have technology and don’t use there own magic that much. I know people are saying they don’t spread the magic of friendship like how fim did but... isn’t that the point? The entire point of the show isn’t to spread magic of friendship across equestria the entire point of it is to be modern, be exaggerated, be silly, be a bit fast paced, be slice of life, and have morals and character development.

Honestly, from the really young kids I know, this is perfect for them. And When I do babysit, I will sometimes try watching MLp with them scince I love it, but apparently most of the younger audience doesn’t seem to really enjoy it all that much (out of like 4 kids) they didn’t seem interested but I am sure they will like this better. In the mean time, I am just going to re-watch the show because it has been a while.besides I joined the fandom in mid season 5 so I am just gonna,...yeah

I'm curious what is your opinion on "Pony life's" other stuff......👇 1.) The Soundtrack 2.) The mini story arcs. Like How you'd rank the current arcs from best to worst (Jelly juggernaut arc, Trail trotter arc & Potion nova arc). 3.) And Potion nova. Because quite a lot people find her to be the best new character from the show while others don't really like that she has made twilight her apprentice. Some also feel that she replaced Zecora (As if no one else can be a expert at potions).

Why do people compare this to teen titans go? I understand it has similar animation but can you guess really compare this show to teen titans go where it taught horrible messages to kids like reading books is dangerous, cheating is good,don’t apalogize or make up in an argument, Christmas is all about presents, don’t tidy your room, except your sexuality or stalk a minor. Teen titans go taught all of those horrible lessons. But with pony life it taught amazing morals like get out of your confront zone, don’t go on your devices all the time and spend time with your friends and family, learn to get over your fear of stage fights, not everyone wants to be your friend sometimes just let them do their own thing like exploring the world, it’s not about winning it’s about having fun, don’t force someone to do something that they don’t want to do, learn to spot a toxic friendship, your hat doesn’t define who you are and stop worrying about super spicion. The only time where pony life taught a bad lesson to kids was in that dolphin episode with phine tastic, in that episode fluttershy apalogized to her friends for getting mad at them when she clearly had the right to be mad at them since they lied to her for months about the camping thing when it was clearly striked for children to participate and not the adults. It painted the chracters in the wrong right and painted the character in the right wrong and that’s a bad lesson. But other than that I like this show but it’s not as good as fim.

Tbh the main thing I like about Pony Life is the theme song. I mean it's not like FIM but still good and catchy. And Applejack. I must admit. As a city person who don't like the country I didn't care that much for her but she's WAY more fun in PL than in FIM! And I think I only have a few episodes I didn't like of her in FIM like "Spike At Your Service", "Somepony To Watch Over Me", "Applejack's "Day" Off", "Honest Apples", and "Non Complete Clause". But that being said most of these episodes are very quick and doesn't make any sense and by the time it's over you'll like "wait that's it"?! And they make internet references almost ALL the time! There was a episode that basically talks about KZbin with some old and outdated memes like: "Is This A Pigeon?" The Homer Sampson "Nope", "Success Kid", "Business Cat", Willy Wonka "You Don't Say" and the even had a reference towards "The Matrix", and a few others I've missed/can't think of right now! And even though she appeared once Trixie is also better here than in FIM. Also Fluttershy is a little bit better in Pony Life also. She's not that shy anymore and in fact is a mixture of cute, and assertive. I give Pony Life a 6/10. 🙄

I'm fairly old for a Brony (53) but I'm actually enjoying the show for the most part. Is it as good as FiM? No. But it's such a different tone I find it hard to compare. I can see how it would turn off some fans, but I've always liked when shows kind of make fun of themselves. Several anime's have done similar things with chibi spin-offs. Or Star Trek: Lower Decks (which I also love!) The animation style has grown on me and I mostly like it now, tho I do wish they'd be more careful with the wings and magic auras.

Here's where they screwed up. We used to have a ton of 'short' clip style shows. Animaniacs was one. It was good. The routines still had depth, and characters had nuance. Ttg and now MLPPL dont have that QUALITY in their writing.

Pony Life is not terrible but its not amazing either. Its in a the grey area. Not going to lie, the idea of Potions and Potion Nova does seem interesting since magical potions is something that fits in these fantasy genres like MLP. Its just a shame its not focusing on Adventure and Magic like FIM which could help the idea of potions come into action. We all know that this is filler for the next generations so in the meantime, some will watch this and some will wait.

I think pony life is just there to tide people over until generation 5. It’s them having fun and taking a break from long episodic story telling as well from my view. I honestly don’t think it’s bad. It’s just different and the fact it’s not gonna be a long running series makes me not upset. If this was gem 5 I’d be upset, but it’s not. They did the same thing for gen 3 with 3.5 until gen 4 comes out. This show is not TTG. It won’t melt your kids brain like that other show. I love mlp gen 4. I actually watch pony life out of curiosity. I don’t like it as much though. It has made me giggle at least once per episode. It doesn’t feel mean spirited with its jokes unlike TTG.
