Well, now I know why Holder's boulder wasn't supposed to be moved at all. Although I thought the giant dragon egg- which it really is, if you look at the shape of it- was completely fossilized over the centuries. That means any dragon embryo that might have been inside it, would already be long dead! Unless some surge of Equestrian magic revived it, or something.

something else i just realized about this fic... Pinkie could now hold resentment and blame Applejack for her sister's death. remember, it was Applejack's fault Holder's Boulder fell, which we learn from Holder's journal it must NEVER be moved AT ALL, so really, Applejack is to blame for Maud's death. I can see this breaking any hopes of family ties the Pies would've wanted with the Apples and maybe even Pinkie discarding Applejack as a friend all together. And imagine the guilt Applejack will have to live with, knowing she caused Maud's death. Man, that's messed up

Maud is especially DEAD because of Applejack's moronic actions during last Hearth's Warming. You can bet your ass I wouldn't be friends with her anymore and my family wouldn't anything to do with her family anymore. If that happened to me or anyone for that matter. Because how the living Tartarus do to you expect to forgive someone who inadvertently cause the death of a close sibling, that you love very much?

This Triggered me Alot... Marble was being Physically Abused at home even though it Wasn't her fault. Maud was There Trying to help marble protect and lessen through the times her father would get mad and take his Anger out on Marble. I get physically/verbally emotionally Abused at home and witness domestic violence/animal Abuse, This hits extremely close to home. Its not about maud risking her life or about the rick that actually was an egg with a monster...behind this plot it was About how serious and hard it is in a life of a person/child being Abused. Yes the scary plot makes well for a creepypasta story but i see it MORE than this.

I'm presuming that the one rule to stay away from Holder's Boulder, is there for this reason: because it's really a giant, fossilized dragon egg! It was even proven as a theory, in the series episode "Hearth Breakers", when Holder's Boulder is shown repeatedly.

It is unknown what the creature was, possibly some ancient demon from eons forgotten who desired destruction. Maud is dead in this story. After drinking the potion she is turned to stone to prevent the creature that had possessed her from escaping.
