1:09:45 - 1:10:42 I always kind of viewed how quickly the guards were swayed as being a combination of the fact that so many respected figures were willing to trust Thorax, but also knowing when to keep their mouths shut. After all, their beloved ruler had just declared Thorax a friend of the Empire; attempting to harm him would be tantamount to treason. Notice the deliberate way that Cadence says, "-and I'm sure my subjects are eager to do the same."? It was a gesture of friendship toward Thorax, but also a gentle, but stern, warning to the guards and any other citizens that might still have lingering hostility about the situation that any threats against Thorax's well being will not be tolerated.

I agree it was about acceptance, but I compared it to a certain overseas religious crowd that has a bad reputation in the western world because of people being terrorized by certain factions of their group. Each person over there who isn't radicalized and actually believes in kindness + equality probably feels the same as as Thorax. And they have the same challenge ahead of them in trying to gain acceptance.

To e honest I still think that changeling is a spy, he tried too damn hard to look apologetic, it's too damn suspicious, I bet he is a spy for Queen Chrysalis and maybe, MAYBE! at the end he learns the magic of friendship

Even if he's being authentic, the song is lying to us. The changeling DIDN'T change: he was born different, he is an anomaly. Therefore, his example doesn't prove that friendship with a typical changeling is possible.

Well, that may be true. But this episode was all about a certain moral: Don't condemn the individual based on the actions of his people.

Unless there's a reason to believe that the individual follows the way of his people, and the ways of his people are known to be hostile. Thorax can be given a benefit of doubt only because he acts differently than other changelings. I also would like to point out that Thorax himself does not deny that other changelings are evil. He only states that he is not. I think the episode could be better and more meaningful if Thorax wasn't born an anomaly, but chose this way himself. That could mean that other changelings are capable of doing this as well. As it is now, there's no reason to believe that.
