This video was great and you continue to be one of the very few KZbin channels that doesn't make me hate everything. Keep being you, Woodknight

I’ve never seen any woodworker on KZbin mess around with clamps the way you did when you glued that panel up, and I just know that is one of those unexpected things that will happen to me when I try it some day 😄 Like when I tried using the tape on the drill trick to not drill too deep, and the tape moved up 😣 Thanks for keeping it real! 😊

Honestly, it's a problem I should probably learn to leave well enough alone rather than adjusting a clamp then throwing everything out of alignment 🤣 If it makes you feel better, I have also had very bad luck with the tape trick. When it matters, I've got a set of depth stops www.timbecon.com.au/products/torquata-drill-stop-set-with-drill-depth-gauge More expensive than they need to be but sometimes throwing money at my brain works!

I like this project. When I started woodworking, I was in love with the idea of a solid maple bench with all the doodads. I've come to understand that while it could be fun, it's a bit like smooshing your shop around a bench rather than the other way around. Also, hardwood is expensive now. Your solution is not poo-esque. Rather, it's exactly what you need, and it suits your shop. I made mine from a torsion box sandwiched between MDF. I have no qualms about screwing things onto it if necessary. Just sand flat and add another coat of BLO.

Another great vid mate. Love the poo emoji, great little detail that you will probably forget about in time until you have to explain it to someone else who doesn't know what a Roubo is. Then you get more value from the pun 👍

😘 Thanks Joe KZbin's auto generated response options were * "It's like a poobo-themed rave in here - great to have you along!" * "Yep - poobo is a pretty weird name, but the build is solid 💪" They're too good *not* to use.

You can strongly imply many things from this video...such as Paul never being offered a glue sponsorship despite his love for Pony Sauce... 🤔🤣

And considering it's Christmas. You can drag it out on to the Patio and use it as a Posh outdoor dining table. Merry Christmas to you and Nat. Oh, and the cat if it agrees to behave it's self. It seems every other video you are sporting a war wood from the feline demon.

haha, to be fair to Loki, he's going through some health issues at the moment and was drugged out of his poor little kitten mind and bit the closest person at the vet. Unfortunately I was that person. He gets a pass when he had so much in his system he forgot which way was up and could taste colours. Merry Christmas to you too, Peter!

I really dig the build! One bit of feedback though: maybe turn off the gimbal tracking, or whatever is causing the camera in the intro to pull left and right. It's pretty distracting.

hi good video just wondered which holdfast you are using regards Craig
@TheWoodKnight
@TheWoodKnight 2 ай бұрын
It's the Gramercy holdfast that I picked up from HNT hntgordon.com.au/products/gramercy-hold-fasts Not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but they work great. I did glue some crubber onto it to keep it from marring the wood though!

Giggle on your puns... no, and what kind of wood worker are you, using domino's, i wish i had that machine LOL but i use my side router and it works too although i have to make my own dominos. i love the outfeed table nice strong and stable i made mine of recycled pine, but living in a artic area flat i will not call it any more LOL and i used half laps jointery nice or beautiful like your no but it does his work. well done mate, i am a bit disappointed about the draw sliders though, i thought you made from hardwood with a dovetail. but again it doesn't matter as long as it works LOL
