When your garage workshop needs to be a garage and a workshop!
I designed this space-saving table saw station as an option for people who use their garages as weekend workshops.
Using a simple folding mechanism a table saw can be folded into a more compact position and stored out of the way. When the saw needs to be used it can very easily be folded into a working position and be pe packed away just as fast.

I have been debating not having a table saw and using a track saw instead because I will be using a one car garage space for for my workshop, and was frankly just not happy with having to do that. THIS IS GENIUS!!! Well Done!

Well done. Great idea. The only thing I would change, would be to mount retractable casters on the sides. Just bring the stand into position, open the doors and fold the casters up, so the stand sits flush on the ground. Less hardware and more stability. Thinking about it, I might change my plan for a work bench, that should include my table saw into it and make a shorter bench + this stand on the same height, so I get an even longer in / out feed.

I don't have a really nice compact table say, but I've been working with a worksite table saw. I think I've finally found a benefit - I get the same functionality of the space saving without having to make a new cabinet. :) If only the accuracy were as close.

That is an awesome deal, I'm going to make it for one of my table saws but also going to do it for my smaller Miter saw and thinking it would be nice for a small table top drill I have. If I make them all the same height I could make a way to connect them as a long but narrow working area or connect in another way to make them more into a wider rectangle. Using CNC handles on the doors instead of the stick outs might make this happen. Biggest challenge will be how to make them hook with those outside hook clamps.

This build is well designed, will do exactly what you said it would and the video was interesting to watch. Having said that I'm not at all certain that the build would be practical. For small shops using a portable saw such as yours there are already folding carts specifically made to give the saw a small footprint for storage and would be easier and faster to set up for use. Still an interesting project and video. I am subscribed and I do watch your content.

Once again you have outdone yourself. What a brilliant design. I may have to get the planes for this for my Dewalt DW745. I also have an 8ft crosscut jig that gets more use than the tablesaw, so this is an excellent solution for me. It's not too tall and can store underneath my radial arm saw. Thanks for sharing!!

I suggest a change in this design to incorporate the lowering wheels that you have on the drill press. In fact, for your shop to be modular the way you envision it, every major piece should have its own box, with drop wheels, and the alignment and latching method you demonstrated for the drill press. I received the plans for this station. Thank you, I intend to build this, modified for my machine, and I'm going to incorporate the suggestion I offered above. I too have a 1-car garage, and I need my "workshop", when put away, to occupy only 1 wall. I am "required"" (smile) to share the garage with my wife's car. Your design approach will serve me well. I'll be getting more plans from you, and adapting them to the machines that I have.

My hobbyist Ridge “cabinet” table saw is just a little larger than your job site saw and it’s just sitting on flimsy sheet metal lags. I could see a wider cabinet like this for a larger saw and fence. I even have my router table in the overhang of the fence and it could fold up to. I love this idea and after my move in June I might just have to do this for my larger saw. Thanks.

the design is great, but you've installed the gas spring upside down. they last much longer if the thicker part is up (it seems wrong, which is why they're often installed upside down, but check the check the mfgr's datasheet or take a close look at car trunk gas springs).

Great design and project. I am in a similar situation where i share my garage with the daughters Motorbike and along with fridge, freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer I am limited on space. I have my table saw dissembled in my shed and was looking at designs to mount it on wheels to free up some space. But this design has just made my day, I have utilised some of your other designs with modifications to meet my weekend working area. One of the reasons i like your channel so much, keep them coming.👍

Great Idea. With a lock hasp on the front door it would make a perfect jobsite saw. - (Keep the plumbers and tin knockers from screwing up the saw blade when we are not there. Also- Put the stomp supports on the INSIDE of the doors for a cleaner look. - Great engineering in any case.

You could build in some of those fancy diy retractable castors. I've seen some that can be pretty hidden. That way, it always sits fully on the floor. I suppose that's only a good thing if you have flat floors! I also like that folding it up basically doubles as cleaning it since all the sawdust falls out the bottom.
