Here's a fun little tip: If you fall off the edge of the map and are brought back up, the *moment* you hit the ground, hit 2 to get a quick speed boost. Trust me, this will really come in handy in this game

@@skyefox5796 Do you not need to wheelie or trick or dodge pows while also turning? Those three things I mentioned are all mapped to the dpad for some reason, which means if you hold the controller like normal, there is no way to access those inputs without letting go of the left stick. In other words, in order to be able to access those inputs at all times, you use your index finger for the left stick and your thumb on the dpad. Similar story for the classic controller. Thumb on the left stick, index finger on dpad. The nunchuck, while also bad, fixes at least this massive problem by mapping these three functions to motion controls, allowing one to hold the Wii mote and nunchuck normally. I would _love_ to use a GC controller for MK Wii, but they just had to map wheelies, tricks, and pow dodges to the literal worst button on the controller.

Poof don't try to overturn the Wii remote, because this will cause you to turn the other direction/ keep you on your current path to doom. I get that you want to use the manual steering for the added speed boost, but maybe try to use the "automatic" steering. This will make your steering more consistent and reliable. You probably heard this before, but we highly suggest and recommend using either a wii classic controller, a GameCube controller, or at the very very least a nunchuck. I know that the steering wheel is iconic, nostalgic even. I mean, I also grew up playing with just the steering wheel when I was a kid, so I do enjoy the thing, but once I connected the nunchuck or classic controller, everything changed for me. It made the driving much easier, it made using and holding items very practical, and the drifting and trick jumping felt so smooth and natural. The steering wheel, again, very iconic and nostalgic, I can't help but feel that it didn't age too well. It's still functional for sure, at least for the most part, but it just doesn't feel the same no more.
