The lightning is the *worst* item. All it does is delay the inevitable (of everyone else beating you by a landslide) and MAYBE screw over 1 person in particular. Not to mention, you can only get this in dead last, so whoop-de-doo for you. You mildly irritate some people and maybe have a shift in positions around 7th. It is not the best, but at least the Thundercloud allows you to go ham off-road with the speed boost it gives you, so you can tag someone else.

Watch a little TWD98 In competitive team play, teams literally will send players BACKWARDS, have them wait 30 seconds for the shock (lightning) to come into play in the hopes that they get it. The shock is that important. Also, you are blatantly incorrect when you say you can only get the shock in dead last. You can get it up through 9th place in a 12 player room. But you probably didn't know that because you don't know the game. Imagine saying the thundercloud, which will basically end your race if you can't pass it, is a better item than the best or second best item in the game (debatable with the bullet). And what's even crazier is that the thundercloud is essentially an INDIVIDUAL SHOCK when it strikes you. It is very common to lose 3 or 4 places after getting thunferclouded. Man, wouldn't it be cool if there was an item that did that to everyone else so you could gain a ton of spots on everyone else while they were small? ... Oh wait

@poofesure 11:46 I have a technical theory as to why. Whatever your capture card is sending out, it could be an ARC signal over HDMI. It's basically a power control. It lost the ARC signal as you unplugged and then shut off your (very troubled) Wii as Nintendo believed it had lost power. I had the same issue with a bastard of a PS2, but I ran it through a straight patch bay/connector bay and then into a capture card.

When I was a kid I spent an entire summer getting a gold rating on every single cup. I remember specifically the pain that special cup on mirror gave me. Just GETTING to rainbow road with all first places is nearly impossible because of moonview highway and the mirror traffic.
