Love our solar ironiser! When removing it from the pool, I capture it in a bucket, to contain all the sediment: I usually do this at least every wk, if not more, depending on the weather. Thanks for your informative video.

You bet, and thanks for watching. You won’t be disappointed. I already have it in my pool this year. It’s the first thing I put in it. You will be amazed at the chlorine eating minerals this picks up, the first time u go to clean it. I also recommend the little cleaning kit. I actually purchased a second copper diode that I just rotate. While one is being used I clean the other. They will eventually need to be replaced once they are all “eatin” away by the minerals. Good luck.

So the replacement ionizer and spring $53 on Amazon + the powder $34.99...thats about $90. I pay $6.50 a gallon for chlorine that's about 15 gallons (or in my case 15 treatments or 15 weeks or about 4 months). So cost wise not really much savings, however, the amount of chemicals your body is being exposed to is definitely less....I may give this a try...

@@PianoPraise2024 thx for watching DD. I didn’t check your math, but I trust u. U may be correct. I purchased 1 extra of the copper anode and spring and one cleaning kit. This is my second season with them, and I’m guessing I’ll get at least 3 seasons and the cleaner will last just as long. This year so far I’ve used 3 gallons or chlorine. U do the math. ROI? One year.

Bought a Remington Solar Ionizer last summer. Appears to allow greatly reducing chlorine need, which is good because chlorine prices have been exorbitant for several years (since a factory fire). My pool is large so will buy another. I think it works by dissolving copper and silver into the water. Algicides have long used copper sulfate (per label). Copper is also in below-waterline boat paints and some even use a copper liner.

@jordanseverydaydiy4373
@jordanseverydaydiy4373 10 ай бұрын
Thx for watching. I’m not entirely sure your exact question, but there is a solar panel on the top of it. As it floats around your pool, the electric charge generated by the solar panel, basically attracts various minerals in your water, that lead to dirty water and eating of your chlorine, to the copper diode instead. It’s actually very slick.

Sorry Jordan you wasted your money and sadly many others on here will too.. I used the piece of copper pipe in the skimmer method many years ago and yes it works, no electricity needed, never any algae at all. However about 10 years ago I discovered Copper Sulfate and started using it. I have a 13k pool and use 1 tablespoon diluted a month. Never ever have I had any Algae since. No green hair, no pool stains on my gunite pool here in Florida. Stop listening to these people who don't have a clue, maybe they work for pool companies or don't even have a pool. So may gimmicks when this is the easiest cost effective solution out there.. Look at the ingredients of most pool Algaecides 5-7% Copper Sulfate. When you buy Copper Sulfate small crystals (Amazon, eBay) and dissolve it, it is 20% concentrate so don't think 1 tablespoon a month is to little, adjust if your pool is larger. That is all you need and you'll NEVER have Algae again. The key is Don't over do it thinking more is better, it's not. It does reduce the amount of Chlorine you use but not by a significant amount. Do the research, stop wasting your money.
