Poolsbrook parkrun,

Saturday the 8th June, running the Poolsbrook parkrun.
230th parkrun and 5th at Poolsbrook parkrun.
A cool morning with a few drops of rain in the air.
Took it steady to start with, running at a 6:30 pace, wanting to ease it faster as the laps went on, but though the effort increased, the pace did not and ended up holding the 6:30 pace all the way
Official finishing time of 20:16
6th placed finisher out of 262 and 2nd in the 40-44 age group
My PB remains at Clumber Park parkrun 19:28 ( • Clumber Park, parkrun ... )

Hi Matt. This was my first every parkrun. I was there on the same day, and thought I was the only one filming. I had the gopro on my chest and felt a bit self conscious. I never spotted you, though I was quite a bit further back 😅 I finished 46th. Great running! 👍🏻🏃‍♂️

Hey Mark! Congratulations on your first parkrun! Ay, I felt quite self conscious when I started recording the parkruns, more so perhaps as I used to have it head mounted and was quite conspicuous! I've never been able to do that taking to the camera bit, hence the lack on my channel! I didn't spot you either, I'm afraid.

Apparently, some routes focus the participant's attention more on the surrounding nature than on physical effort.)

Cheers Stuart, was hoping to get closer to a 19, probably should have set off closer to a 6:20 pace and hold it, rather than try and increase pace later !
