I discovered Ram Dass in the middle of the pandemic myself. All of his talks have been such a source of solace, peace, and calm in my life during this difficult time, and in my struggles since then. I'm so glad that you found his work to be meaningful, as well, Devin. From one anxiety-prone being to another, thank you for sharing your gifts with us. The world is a better place with you in it!

My favourite Devin lyric: "And now God has failed as a metaphor. There's only Awe forevermore".

I have dealt with depression and anxiety attacks since I was a child and I still fight it now, but I found some solace from meditation and not dwelling on what might happen.. there are many songs by Devy that has helped me in my journey. I've been a fan since I first heard him with Vai then went backwards from there and found what I could. Thanks Devy. Love and Peace to you and everyone.

Hot damn, yesteday I discovered this song and it blew my mind. Especialy the part with `Free your heart` lyric. Dude you're like a magician but instead of taking rabbits from your hat you eject blood from your throat to the audiance. Bless you.

Thank you for this album Devin. I was listening to it daily when I had bad anxiety and depression and your words and music really helped me. Snuggles is a fave for my walks especially at the Beach. I love where you are going on your journey and that you are bringing us with you. You my friend, ARE a Lightworker!

Thank you, Devin. In 2014, you inspired me to write my album. In 2019, you answered my questions about Jungian psychology in Melbourne, Victoria. In 2022, after 14 years, my intuition is now a theory: Jungian Materialism. And Lightworker was quintessentially important. I had no idea it was pertaining to Ram Dass. I will tweet you with more info.

DEVIN, the man the myth the legend. There are many paths through the Forest, to say one is right over another is a disservice to humanity. Thank you for this song BTW.

I was wondering how this song came to be and about the connection to him, as I read the name of the organisation in the booklet. The song is so incredibly beautiful, the lyrics are so touching and inspiring. ✨🕯️ I will check the book out that you mentioned! Thanks for sharing this backstory!

One of my hugest influences was Alan Watts; I recommended his work to my dear friend Anders Jacobsson from Draconian, and he incorporated a quote from him onto his album "Sovran" in a similar fashion. One of the latest talks I saw with Ram Dass was about him interacting with dolphins; and it was beyond lovely. 💗

I'm so glad the Ram Dass organization were able to see you as a complete person, and not just judge you on one aspect of your ever evolving soul. Be Here Now also found its way into my life and made a big impact, maybe it's time I reconnect with it a bit. I was just listening to one if his lectures from the 80's yesterday, coincidentally. This song is a beautiful and inspiring tribute to a beautiful and inspiring soul. Thank you for the breakdown and backstory. I look forward to hearing the context on how Alan Watts (I hope, it sounds like him) snuck his way in to Children of God, too! 😁

I'm honest when I say Devin is a really talented musician who made great songs in the past. He developed a unique sound and always was a top notch singer and guitar player. Sadly I just can't get behind anything he released after like 2006. The production quality might have got better with the years, but somehow the songs get less interesting. I'm sorry to say that, because I truly like Devin and I want to check out his new music. I guess that's because I'm getting older or something.

I've come to believe that religion isn't so much about which one is the correct one. But the abundance of them is a symptom of our differences as people. Each on their own path through life, trying to figure it out. So there isn't one correct path. There are almost as many paths as there are people and in trying to navigate towards truth, we need a path that makes sense to us and assists us in our journey. The acquisition of the path has to come with an honest and truthful search and thought. It can't be sold to you or forced upon you. Problematicly, so many of these organizations are trying to sell you on their business rather than honestly trying to assist in the endeavor. So they have become competitive and then combative which helps no one.

Interesting journey of religion. A lot of times religion is like fast food or retail work, and like government work, they all have their logos and symbols and flags and what not, and they all take everything you have on different levels and give you nothing in return. God is indeed a bastardized term... It is noble to love God, but God is not a person, and religion is a graven image of what God is, the traditional idea is that God must be personified or be thought of as a person. God is only a nonsense dogmatic word used for a poor reference to something else at this point, where the original meaning is obviously beautiful. I think Devin Townsend would enjoy the language of ancient poly or poli or pali I can't remember lol. It's the oldest written language (no it is not Sanskrit lol) and also the most accurate language. Very very interesting if your interested.

I think the people who look to religion for answers would be better served looking into philosophy.
