Ludicrous speed mode ? Nice Spaceballs reference there 😆 I know there's a TL-01 speed gear set that fits this gearbox too

Your a beter guy then me the other night when you mentioned Ludicrous speed gear I jumped to the shop and discovered what you were talking about. I was going to keep it a secret but the cats out of the bag now. A 24t dose work on Ludicrous. I'm still going to see how fast I can make mine go on 2s.

I was doing this gearing on mine this morning. Didn’t get passed part throttle as I’m having some controller issues. But still got 39mph (brushed). It’s a bit too much, motor getting hot! Nice run.

Hey thanks for the top tips and that gearbox thing is genius. Would never have thought of that. Your rig looks awesome and crazy quick. Oh yeah this one is a pain in the neck to work on for sure. Good luck with your future attempts 😁

As long I'm right in the building process, this was a great tip Brice. Wish I knew this before I bought the speed gears. One the other hand I'm in class 1, I might kill my motor by taking this shortcut.

Congrats on the 67MPH, that is cooking! It sounds super smooth rolling by as well! Thanks for the cool tip on the gear box, should make things a lot more interesting! Looking forward to seeing what you are able to do with it to ramp it up to the next level.

Yeah, Brice! You are definitely not disappointing this year! Lots of enthusiasm, both in the video and behind the scenes, all those innovations brewing in your head, ha ha! That trick with the gearing, thanks for sharing, it is definitely applicable in all the classes, it would be an obvious thing for us all to do. Your car sounded nice and smooth in those runs, I would say better than the TT-02, even! I'm looking forward to get started, although it will still be a week before I have time to assemble the chassis, and the body will probably be a week or two further away, he he... I made an agreement with myself this year, I only do one speedrun entry, I have too much other stuff going on, ha ha!

67! That is fast, I would have expected much more roll overs at that speed. You handled that car like a boss JoT!

You're a beauty, Brice. Nice guy move sharing your Ludacris speed hack. As simple as it seems, most folks (myself included) may not have come across it. Great tee, too! Haha. I still need a JOT hat, got any Shrek sizes??? 😉
Great idea on the pinion. I’m excited to see how fast you can get this platform.

All my goodies arrived last night for the speed run challenge so I'm hard at work trying to get this car built asap. Great stuff!

I was thinking of adding an active wing so the faster I go the wing lowers then when I lift it pops up to act as a airbrake in the rear controlling the slow down.

Hi, all you speedrun freaks out there are in for a treet this year with this chassis, it's not going to be the easiest chassis to get awesome speeds with but it's going to be fun and that's why we do it.😊😊😊

Not that I do speedruns, but have you tried using the dragbrake for slowing down?

Just a pick question, how do you set the mesh on the ludicrous speed spur. Your help would be gratefully appreciated.😊😊😊
@jack-o-trades3 ай бұрын
@@allanritchie1539 I push the motor up against the spur gear then back off a smidge, pivoting about one of the motor mount screws. I start with too tight and back it off. You can feel and hear a good mesh. It will be smooth and quiet. You just have to be careful you’re not too loose.

Question: 1. Does Carbon Fiber Shaft help with transfering power AND reducing weight. I remember how much lighter TL-01 by switching from the stock shaft to CF option before the lightweight chassis. 2. Is it possible to create a new steering mechanism on this chassis? Looking at the manual, then current servo mount is too weak to handle the movement of big servos (as it only mounts to one side of the chassis; not both) 3. Is it possible to create a strong ESC mount or enclosure between B10 & B11's cavity so you do not have to worry doublesided tape ejecting itself from the chassis?

You won't break the Mamba X ,it delivers lost of power ,sounds like you're Battery isn't giving you enough Juice, tune you're ESC for throttle curve, you can tune acceleration and deceleration on it, pending on you're transmitter you can also decrease the throttle speed which would help with helping power delivery problems
