I use the same method but I use enviro deep drop sinkers.. cheaper than lead and they break down, so win..win.👍👍👍👍👍

Would a snap swivel work to attach to a 16oz cannonball weight to use this type of set-up so its main line to swivel to the leader?

@ShannonsFishing i. Going to trying it next time my friend and i go fishing on his boat for salmon and will let you know. I picked up locking swivel to have the weight stay on and im thinking 8oz for trial if it works its a way to save lead at the crazy price its at

@ShannonsFishing tried it yesterday and worked beautifully with the 16oz weight trolling at 1.8 to 2.5kn trolling and you dont lose the weight. The rod still super sensitive and you see the action the spoon does
