This is the Stratford Shakespeare Festival troupe from Canada. This is the best production of Pirates that I have seen. Brent Carver as the Pirate King is amazing, and the choreography is perfection.

Dear Caralyn, You were wonderful in this! How I miss your friendship. The world has lost a beautiful person. God bless you.

She is amazing and has a very strong voice! However, up close she seems a little old to be playing Mabel. From the stage you probably couldn't tell though with makeup and stuff.

I think the voice is the most important thing in an opera/operetta

Jeff (Frederic) was 34 and Caralyn (Mabel) was 32 when this was filmed. If interested, you can watch the full production in my playlist, Hocus Pocus Alimagocus with links in description to other productions and the 1983 movie version as well. Enjoy. 😉

@@DeSi-um8gf And also, is the Eb6 mandatory? Since when do options up not become options anymore? I saw one concert on film where Vivian Tierney who sang the song with the D'oyly Carte players in 1982 didn't hit the high Eb, but did she have to? She still did an amazing job!
