My IS seats lit my ass on fire, had concerns about sweat marks. The vinyl leather seats suck, they're not comfortable.. it lacks the give a person deserves. The Koni yellow is a fantastic adjustable rebound shock option that really transforms the car to what you need on the day.. I ran them for years. Looks good, regardless.

I have as IS300 as well and wanted to upgrade to a seat with better bolstering that can keep me in place for spirited driving, autocross and road course events yet be comfortable enough for regular street use. This video gave me the confidence to pull the trigger on some Corbeau's. I've owned 3 different sets over the years in other vehicles successfully. Just ordered a set of GTS II in leather and with the heated seat option. I'll be referencing this video later next week for installing the heated seat wiring. I also picked up a few 2.2 Ohm 1/4 watt resistors from Amazon to use on the Airbag harness (we'll see if that works). I also just finished rebuilding my rear subframe this week with Strong Flex bushings and Xcessive Manufacturing parts. That video/series you made was a life saver. Awesome stuff! Thank you so much for the effort you put in and guidance provided to the IS300 community. P.S. Is it just me or are FIGS prices borderline criminal...?

Excessive manufacturing makes a great seat bracket for these cars. Im 6.7 and i have plenty of headroom now

That's one of my project car conniptions is an IS with a UZ swap. I've been following this series with great interest. Thanks! And on a more serious note, you really need to be hosting ASE instructional videos or similar. You've got a talent there as well.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it. That means a lot! I did audition for PowerNation last year but unfortunately I had to turn the position down

Very cool, where did you get the floor mats? Those really look nice
@PoorManMods8 ай бұрын
Thanks! I got them off ebay and for some reason the listing has been taken down, just search for Lexus IS300 floor mats and youll find similar listings

Good video, as always! Where can I pick up one of those Altezza grille? They so nice!

Thank you! Mine came with the car but you can get them off eBay

With wiring the seat warmer switch, I would have just wired it into the switch already in the dash, and made a casing to fit it into where the original plug goes. Those switches pop right out, and it looks to me that the wire is long enough to reach through the centre console.

Hi there can you make videos how to get more HP from the 3uz-1uz ❤
@PoorManMods5 ай бұрын
There is not alot of aftermarket support for the 1/3UZ in terms of power upgrades. But i did do a video on install install XAT Racing billet aluminum pullies which free up some power. When I did the engine swap I installed GS400 headers and made my own cat back exhaust, as well as my own intake. I also went with a standalone ECU during the swap which allowed me to make my own tune (not sure if thats better than stock or not) Aside from that, the only other thing you can really do is install aftermarket cams. After that its nitrous, turbo or supercharger.

Those are some nice seats,Freddy. How's the comfort rating after driving in them?
@PoorManMods8 ай бұрын
Thank you! Comfort is great, they support and hug me really well. I'm so happy with them. They're not soft and cushy like a couch though, they're firm

Great video. I'm 6 foot and I always feel like I'm staring out the top of the windshield. Have wanted lower seats for many years. I hate to buy ebay specials but good quality seats are very expensive! Was looking a Braum but I keep hearing mixed reviews. It's hard to best Lexus OEM quality.
@PoorManMods8 ай бұрын
Yeah I've heard not so good things about Braum too. This is now my 3rd vehicle with carbeaus and I'm very happy with them

Nice job, I enjoyed watching. But I would've disconnected the battery before starting the job to avoid the airbag warning light. Just my opinion :)
@bag-chaser8 ай бұрын
You can put a 2 ohm resistor in the airbag connector and it will turn off the airbag light I did this for when I replaced the steering wheel and it worked fine The reason to do this is because I have heard that if one airbag is disconnected, it will disable every other airbag.

My 02 IS300 driver seat is split and needs to be replaced. Problem is its my daily driver and I feel like you'd get bleecher ass riding on those for any length of time.

My original seats felt very firm and were not comfortable at all. I do really like these. I drove my supra across America and back in october, that car has similar seats and I had no complaints

Not true about airbag wires ..., you'll need airbag bypass resistors < amazon or ebay 10 for 20$ , manipulate and make it work ..., working almost with any airbags
