the panning method brother, but you need to be careful because the tiny gold wires that are smaller than our hair will float in the water, I tried that and then the carbon was washed out, I looked under the microscope and there was a lot of gold that was carried in the water.

yes brother, but some very tiny wire can be taken into the water no matter how careful, you can try it your self to prove after the carbon is washed out in the water, remove the water and look through the carbon using magnifying glass and you will discover that there is a lot of gold wire that can be carried in the water.

Excellent video with detailed waiting times of procedures! I was surprised at the melt, I too was expecting more. Out of curiosity, how much cost in reagents (acids) and other material costs involved- and are all the buckets in the background different batches from the different products you are doing? Now I'm just being nosey- and don't answer that, thank you!

I spent less brother than you expected, because the drain cleaner I bought is only php105 pesos a liter, $1.9 usd, I purify it, and potassium nitrate 1 kilograms worth php500 $9.09 produces 500ml hno3 I consume only 40ml of this video maybe 50ml about 50php It's only $0.9 USD, in total we spend php100 but our hardwork worh 500php thats okay..

So, you aren't disposing of the carbon disolved by the sulfuric acid because it also contains minute sized particles of gold. Crushing the silicon wafers and adding them back to the carbon and larger bond wires for processing with nitric acid in one batch. Add HCl to drop the silver chroride, filter, and process with AR. Get it all! How much gold do you attribute to the silicon wafers?
@PoorMiners321Ай бұрын
who told you that I did not dispose of the dissolved carbon? what was left in my beaker was the pcb fiber, silicon wafers, gold wires and few amount of carbon just few amounts only, Adding hcl after nitric acid to precipitate silver chlorude? Then you dissolved tiny gold wire, if you were in my situation, you would be able to calculate the gold contained in the silicon wafers?
@johnross8939Ай бұрын
@PoorMiners321 I'm just trying to follow along with what process you used. My mistake about disposing of the dissolved carbon. I was under the impression it also contained particles of gold. I'm just curious. Since you crushed the silicon wafers and processed them, by doing that, how much extra gold does that yield? In most other refiners You Tube videos, they just throw away the silicon wafers left after dissolving the IC chips in sulfuric acid. Of course, if they pyrolize the chips, those wafers get ground up along with everything else.
@PoorMiners321Ай бұрын
The dissolved carbon brother need to dilute more water in a bucket to control some tiny gold wire floating, always allowed few seconds to settle down tiny gold wire. the gold in the silicon wafers brother is very small amount, the others have no gold. Based on the examination that I have done through a microscope, so I did not separate what was there and what was not, this procedure has a little less losses compared to dry ashing, panning, and also to direct aqua regia which is silicon carbon. it absorbs soluble metals such as silver and gold.
@christopherleubner6633Ай бұрын
@@PoorMiners321save the IC dies and sell them for arts and crafts. The gold bond wires can be removed with a mix of HCl and enough bleach to make it have chlorine in it. ❤

It is not the color of copper; if anything, it would be brass, which has copper in it, but no. Copper would never survive all the acid baths!

@alexross26822 ай бұрын
😂😂 thats a good one but no for real tho, i think the hardest part using wet method i faced in the past is trying to decant the sulfuric without losing gold bonding stuck to the carbon. After a few batches it gets better. Believe me reading, learning, keeping to clean and meticulous method like Poor Miners will help you get more gold and less copper.
