Besides make-ups and visual tricks, the girl called Jade sounds fabulous. It seems there would be no band without her. If she is really like that (in '90s music, you can never be sure...), she could have easily cooperated as a lead vocal with Eurodance giants like DJ Sammy, U96, Captain Hollywood Project etc.

The trouble was their chemistry as a group… they had none!! People saw them for what they were- a very crass Steps rehash and simply didn’t buy into it. I don’t even think Pete Waterman’s heart was in it when they formulated this one.

I think POP! Launched at a very hectic time in POP music history..The industry was saturated with domestic and foreign vocal groups mixed and mono-gendered..even mixed gender too...i say it was hard for them to carve out a niche...also their management needed to Oomph them more and get them exposed more often..and I guess to an extent that POP themselves would have had to put the hours in too..
