Can I just say how boring the music video is? The woman is obviously a good dancer but she's doing all the work and Ed is just kind of awkwardly shambling around and holding her up a few times. Snore.

To be fair, a good portion of ballroom dancing involves women doing the work. And as a ballerina I pretty much had to do all the cool stuff in the choreography and my partner maybe supported me and lifted me a few times, even though I could have kept my balance and jumped high enough to execute the steps just fine. That's kind of how partner dancing works. Ed Sheeran maybe stands out with it in the music video because what she's doing is just that nice.

I think the intention behind the line is the implication that many people get so caught up in a fantastical, idea of love that they don’t even notice what’s right in front of them and if they did, they’d actually find love. i don’t think it’s necessarily a bad line but i do feel like Ed Sheehan doesn’t do enough with it that it ends up being throwaway. A better lyricist could make it more impactful rather than just some platitude

My favorite growing old together song will probably forever be Growing Old With You. It's got a really nice charm to it, and I like the idea of listing off just normal couple stuff that every lasting marriage has to deal with like the house needs repairs or someone in the pair gets sick and needs to be taken care of, or even the event where one has to make sure the other doesn't hurt themselves when they get a little too tipsy. Its average, maybe mundane seeming stuff, but the reason they want to experience it is because they want to experience it with the person they love and know that they are taken care of and happy. It's just such an adorable and sweet sentiment. Not to mention it's just such a good way to end probably my favorite Adam Sandler movie.

I agree that sappy acoustic love songs are annoying but I guess everybody likes at leas one and this is one of mine. I think that Bruno Mars can't pull off this kind of song at all. He has the voice for it (his voice is smooth as all get out) but I don't believe him when he sings these songs. I think The Way You Are is total B.S and Grenade too. I much prefer Uptown Funk and 24 K Magic Bruno Mars we have now to his previous incarnation, because Bruno is a great showman. I fully believe that he can get a crowd fired up. Finally, the keeping my thoughts to myself joke was pretty great. I have been watching your channel all day and I love it. Your videos are never too long and they are insightful and well researched. I agree with most of your reviews.

Tangent, but I actually like "We Found Love" by Rihanna. Most of it is because of the intensity of the production. And I really like the editing in the video. I can't really justify it. I'm not particularly fond of how repetitive the chorus is. It makes the song feel underwritten, which is a shame because the verses are quite sharp.

The "right where we are" lyric actually made sense to me. I grew up in a small town full of garbage people so the idea of needing to travel somewhere else to find people worth loving is a common one. So it would be worth stating that "hey, we didn't need to go off to greener pastures, what we wanted was right here all along." I can't believe I just defended Ed Sheeran.

It wasn't a stalker song, but it was written for a girl that he liked but was just a friend and already was in a relationship. Tom (from plain white tees) and Delilah had an inside joke about how he was going to write a song about her. Delilah wrote about it she said she was puzzled by the song, because she was already with the guy who she ended up marrying and the song was a love song. Tom didn't try to make it creepy when she asked what the song meant he just said he wanted to write her a beautiful song.

The first time I heard this song was at my senior ball, and I still remember thinking it was some dull old wedding standard from the mid-‘80’s at the absolute latest. He can sing in that, but I can't get past kind of cringing at the song for it's inclusion at the end of the Hobbit movie. It's too "modern folk-ish" and therefore feels out of place. For the film I think it should've felt more like a Medieval or Renaissance ballad. Also, it makes me a little annoyed that Ed Sheeran got to make a 6 minute song for the film series, but no soundtrack has any longer version of the "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" song sung by Richard Armitage and co.

Zac _ I actually really like Photograph. I really love the simplicity of it. Keeping a picture during a long distance relationship to remember all the memories and love you have for someone. And maybe it's that I'm still only 18, but I've never really heard of any songs using that idea. Idk, I think it's an incredibly sweet song. And the slowness is part of what helps you realize how simple, yet true, it is.
