It really reads like Somerton has one of those weird Nazi fetishes and just projected it onto every man in WW2. Just sounds like him gushing over early 1900s german footage he likes to gawk at and pretending every other man back then must have felt the same way. Also him thinking that American soldiers in Europe would meet a single gay guy and suddenly want to start blowing eachother reads alot like the straight guys who think they can get Lesbians to sleep with them.

In every interview Justin Timberlake sounds stupid. The guy is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

Couple years late, but if you listened to Mexican music, Todd, you'd know JUAN GABRIEL released his first album with Mariachi in 1974. You hear nearly every song on the radio to this day.

A bit of unrelated lore: There You'll Be was a massive hit here in the Philippines, and until now is consistently played in soft rock radio stations and is a mainstay of karaoke favorites.

Is it insane that I'm 38, grew up in the US, and have never heard this song in my life until I watched this video in 2024?

I watch this video at least monthly, and I still think the version of "Get Her Back" is the most beautiful piano cover Todd's ever done. Id love to hear him do a full version one day.

I have a stack of MTV Unplugged discs that I haven't listened to for years, except for the brilliant Page/Plant one. People say that smoking weed isn't harmful but I would never have bought most of them if I hadn't been stoned at the time.

"Gimme Dat Ding" is one of my favorites. I read it had to do with a kids' show, explaining the metronome. The Dirty Old Man voice was taken from Arte Johnson, I believe.

Hey, buddy, I know this wasn't your intention, but showing effectively decapitated images of fat people for the sole purpose of emphasizing how fat they are serves his shitty point more than it does yours. Just something to be mindful of.

I don't think anything can state the failure of this song more than this simple fact. the eras tour starts off with songs from Lover. Taylor Swift does *not* play this in song during the eras tour (she did once as a bonus). in the night all about her she does not play Me!. that says it all right there. and no it isn't because of Brendon Urie she doesn't fly around with Kendrick so he can do his bad blood verse.

True story. The local radio station(B-96) in my area had a contest for high schools that if you sent in the most letters you got a concert from Sir Mix-a-lot at the height of this song in 1992. My school, Morton West in Berwyn, IL(a near west Chicago suburb) won. It was absolutely hilarious and awesome. Saigon Kick opened for him.

If you want an extremely 80s album from an extremely 70s band based on an obscure(ish) genre fiction property written in collaboration with the property's creator, I'd recommend Hawkwind's _The Chronicle of the Black Sword_

I'm one of the few people I knew as a teenager who liked Nickelback. However you have no idea how hard it was to live through the humiliation of having a dad who LOVED Nickelback. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy

I was there in the 90's and I remember this song, and but I wasn't paying attention. I confused this guy with Sugar Ray, who was around at the same time. /facepalm. He clearly says who he is about 100 times so how did I miss it

I'm not gonna lie, I kinda like Free. Granted, my taste in music was HEAVILY influenced by Guitar Hero, and Free sounds like the kind of hard-rocker that wouldn't be out of place in a Guitar Hero game, so maybe I'm just biased towards songs with a rock edge.
