Two hardware items for using corrosion and staining. The acrylic wood strainers and wood fillers mixed with a bit of fine grit gives you lots of materials for very cheap. Mix and match you get oaks, red woods ect in any stain color you can wish for. Great project, keep on doing what you do. 👍❤️

One of the underappreciated facets of the tabletop hobby is storage. Especially for terrain, which can get pretty big. So thank you for exploring ideas of how to save space. An idea I just thought of: taking the craft stick clips used to keep the bending floors rigid, but instead glue them somehow to form a 90 degree clip. I'm not sure how you would go about it, but if you could, you might be able to take separate wall pieces and clip them together to form ruins. If I recall correctly, the 6th edition Warhammer starter set came with terrain that was just card stock walls and plastic clips to connect them at right angles, to form buildings.

Wonderful idea. My original idea was to secure the clip to the floor and allow it to rotate and lock into position. Didn't quite work out though.

Battle Systems (makers of Core Space) have thick card terrain and plastic clips and you can buy the clips separate - not sure if 'standard' packaging boxes would fit in them though

These seem like a great candidate for spray can shenanigans and/or foam stamp painting on the walls.

Good if storage is an issue too.

I really want to reinforce those folds on the floor with some painters tape or something. Also, to figure out a system where you can use the floor braces to hold the piece closed while it's collapsed...

I love this build. I am a travelling DM, becous my group live relatively far away from me, and we usaly play after work, near our workplace, so I need to carry all my terrain with me. Those would be a nice addition to my collection!

I understand that pain so well. Check out these amzn.to/3mau6Vl I find them perfect for traveling with terrain. I did a video way back in the channel's infancy about it here kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJLRdJuPbstroNk

I would have used a file to rough up the edges of the wood stabilizers and painted them grey or stained them brown so they didn't stand out so much.
@brokenterrain2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. I also thought about turning the wood stabilizers into stairs and such as well.

I backed an xps book on kickstarter and the stretch goals were for many of the templates utilized in the book. You should be able to find them at www.shiftinglands.com/ along with tools for your proxxon and a bunch of other great crafting pieces.
