whew... that's as good a song dylan or anyone else ever wrote. i first heard it in one of the greatest westerns ever made -robert altman's mccabe and mrs miller. freaking magnificent song!

Same. Watching the opening sequence of the film set to this track, I was thunderstruck by it’s melancholic, mellow magnificence. I had to pause the film and bring up the song here and play it a few times to get my fix before returning to the film. I am still here an hour later transfixed by this powerful paradox’s simplistic complexity. ✌🏻😭☺️

Leonard Cohen is completely underrated as a guitarist. This looks easy to play, but it's not.
