iCarly Season 2 | Miranda Cosgrove, Nathan Kress Have 'Opposite Takes' on Creddie With Jerry Trainor

iCarly fans have been rooting for Carly Shay and Freddie Benson to take their friendship to the next level for years, but heading into Season 2, Miranda Cosgrove and Nathan Kress have "opposite" takes on whether Creddie is endgame or not. As the iCarly reboot premieres its sophomore season on Paramount+ Friday, the series' stars teased to PopCulture.com's Anna Rumer what could be for their longtime BFF characters.
"I think Nate and I, we have opposite takes," Cosgrove told PopCulture. "I want to see them together, but I don't know." Kress chimed in, "Well, look, I don't not want to see them together. It's just, immediately, everything just gets complicated right away, right out of the gate, because Freddie now all of a sudden has this other relationship [with Pearl] that's a good one, at least in his mind."

I love that closaphobia moment bc I remember that in the originals how the creator said how can we make this scene funnier and he just told Miranda just go crazier and she came up with that noise and it made the scene 100 times funnier. Miranda is a genius for coming up with that bit.

No. Most fans wanted Sam and Freddie to get together. They're pushing this trash because Jennette said no. They straight up disrespected her in choosing to do this reboot knowing her struggles growing up on the original show and the writers are terrible. They can't get simple facts straight. I cannot wait for this show to end.

@@Mondlerrrr People say shit they don't mean all the time. She chose to kiss him he in no way asked her to. And they immediately got all shy and flustered afterword. Freddie and Sam were never goimg to be endgame. Their relationship is a physical attraction than romantic connection.
