I haven't known other Bishops that much but being Caviteno before moving to Canada I had the opportunity to see him on many occasions. He is well versed, connected, charismatic, modern, talented, knowledgeable. He is the kind of person that lights up the moment he enters the room, always wearing a smile:) My prayers for the Cardinal Bishop will be that he still find time to do the things he used to seem enjoy ed to do,sing :)

Search Google, my friend. Cardinal Tagle is the first Filipino Cardinal-Bishop (not Cardinal Archbishop, that's a whole different title). The College of Cardinals has three ranks: Cardinal-Deacons, Cardinal-Priests, and Cardinal-Bishops. Despite of the deacon-priest-bishop in their titles, all Cardinals are Bishops/Archbishops. It's just ranks WITHIN the College. All other 8 Filipino Cardinals were just Cardinal-Priests. When Cardinal Tagle was made Cardinal in 2012, he was then a Cardinal-Priest. Pope Francis just raised him as Cardinal-Bishop.

What does modernistic mean? Traditions in the church were set by people and they can be transformed by people. Clinging unto them has been a hinderance to evangelisation. We have a church where we cling too much on the traditions or form of liturgy and forget the simple commands that God put forth: love God and neighbour.

@@dionium5462 Christ's commands were very clear. Most of the traditions were created by men ( observe TLM and the acts - not most of the happenings were stated by Christ anywhere in his teachings). Jesus taught us how to pray and worship and during the Last Supper gave us even more instructions. But like he reminds us SABBATH WAS MADE FOR MAN AND NOT MAN FOR THE SABBATH. Christ means just that. The synods and conferences over the years have transformed so much during Mass - some for to better and others for the worse. But yes it was all humans who prayed to God for his wisdom and we can still pray for God to enlighten us in the new ways of evangelization with changing times. Does that mean we can change the teachings - NO. Does that mean we can change how we teach - YES, that has always been happening. We cannot be rigid. The church must get to those on the periphery. Open its doors to the weak and sinners and poor. Leave the judgement to God and concentrate on teaching the true message of Christ.

Mother Earth is God’s Creation. The first human Adam was taken from the ground and God breath on him and became alive. The Kingdoms of Nature created by the Almighty God are interconnected. The human kingdom cannot live without the produce from the plant kingdom, vegetables, fruits, herbs, trees to build houses and dwellings, etc. The mineral kingdom is as essential as the elemental kingdom. When mankind pollute water, air, we poison ourselves. When we misuse fire, we destroy ourselves. When we misuse minerals like uranium, metal, iron, etc. to create bombs, nuclear weapons, tools to destroy each other through wars, we violate and outrage Mother Nature. Pachamama, Mother Earth is the planet that God created for us humans to live in. Who are these saints by the way? The Catholic Church has many rules, ways, and steps before a cononizing saints. No miracle has been proven from these two ladies, nor were and are martyred. The Church does not stand on any political color, it stands for what is right.
