The pope said we must repent of our sins but never properly defined what sin is. 　 The only definition in the Bible is 1 John 3:4 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. When you repent of sin you are asking for forgiveness for breaking Gods law. The Pharisees were following man made laws above Gods law and claiming to be holy, this is why Jesus called them hypocrites.

***** But they didn’t follow them to a T or Jesus would not have said this, Mark 7:9 9 And he said unto them, Full well (ye reject the commandment of God), that ye may keep your own tradition. They had created their own laws called (tradition) that trumped Gods laws.

***** They put man made laws concerning the Sabbath ahead of an act of Charity, For Jesus to break Gods law concerning the Sabbath would have been sin, and we know Jesus never sinned. Tradition is the difference. Thanks
