Pope Francis set for three-day visit to Iraq

Pope Francis is going to Iraq for a three-day visit, his first trip outside Italy since the pandemic began.
The pope will be welcomed by the prime minister when he arrives in Baghdad on Friday. He will then meet President Barham Salih, as well as religious leaders, and representatives of civil society at the presidential palace.
The next day, Francis will fly to the city of Najaf and meet Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani. Later, he will celebrate mass in Baghdad.
On Sunday, Pope Francis will travel to Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, where he will meet with religious and civil leaders of the autonomous region.
Al Jazeera's Osama Bin Javaid reports from the capital on security preparations ahead of his visit.

@d the best It depends on your views. The Catholic church is one of the most corrupt organisations in history. It still is today. Some people truly believe what 'Salar' said. Have a read into the subject of who is behind the church, there are some interesting articles. To me, way to God isn't through any church or book as it's blatant that ober the past 2000 or so years the holy books could well have been changed and re-written to suit a certain agenda. Some sermoms were even givens in Latin, which the majority of people couldn't understand until as little as 50 years ago. Even if you don't agree, and take the bible word for word and live by it, I'm nearly sure it warns against worshipping idols, and we can clearly see popes are worshipped as idols.

If you remember the Church of the East joined the Ecumenucal union with the Catholic Church when Pope Jean Paul II met with Mar Dinkha IV the last Patriarch of the Church of the East and the Pope Jean Paul II gave Mar Dinkha IV the Cross that the Catholic Church in China belonged to the Chinese Emperor of the Tang Dynasty who had declared the Church of the East as the Church of China in between the year 300 and 500 Christian Era -- Vic Alexander
