They stated how Shotaro is lighter on his feet, movements are bouncy and wider, his groove, but at the end not the main dancer (a close second)? Uh, no. Wonbin is in his own right an awesome dancer, but Shotaro is the main dancer in RIIZE or any other group if I'm being serious. I have watched a lot of professional dancers react to RIIZE without much knowledge of the members and they were almost always focused on Shotaro, cos he is a professional dancer and he moves differently. I suggest to look at his dance challenge and the collaborations he had with Bada Lee and other choreographers to see him at near full capacity.

I'd go as far to say that Shotaro is one of the best dancers in SM history. I think Wonbin does represent the SM main dancer standard but Shotaro's skills are literally beyond the typical SM standard. There's a reason SM debuted him within months.

There's a reason why Shotaro has the most views on his fancam and Wonbin has the most views on his facecam in riize. When it comes to dancing, Shotaro is the go to. No one is discrediting Wonbin, but as the title stated, this is supposedly a video showing pro dancers finding the main dancer. But all we are looking at are three ladies, who are apparently Wonbin biased, coming to the conclusion that Wonbin is the main dancer over Shotaro. Now, no one said Wonbin can't dance, but Shotaro is in a league of his own when it comes to dancing. That's why people are defending Shotaro.

They are both amazing dancers, I think the difference is maybe training and experience, they are both AMAZING and as wonbin is the center of the group he tends to be in the front a lot, shotaro has been dancing since he was a child and maybe that's why he can do many genres of dance (as you can see in awards presentations) since he said he took lessons of many many different genres of dance since he was 5. I don't know much about dance tbh about technical stuff so I won't talk about that, I just can say we were very lucky to have shotaro, wonbin and seunghan as the dance line of RIIZE, they are powerful and so good

I watched riize's mama and mma performance, and I can assure you Shotaro is subjectively and objectively the main dancer of riize. @@irenesara455 Nah, I watched many pro dancers who reacted to RIIZE and they have not seen Shotaro in NCT before, but they were all able to pick him out just because of how he danced. They were able to vocalise the reasons that Shotaro caught their eyes - how wide his movements were, the angle he picked, how sharp he moved, that extra bounce he gave, how on beat he was, how his head stayed while his body turned before he completed the rotation. Some of you are weird, is it so difficult to acknowledge that Shotaro is the better dancer? He was a pro dancer before he came to Korea and had been a teacher too. Rather, you sound like you have already set up your mind because you like Wonbin. You can like Wonbin's dance style, charisma, personality and face, but Shotaro is the better dancer and that is a fact.

@@irenesara455 I think you are missing the point. Shotaro is a better dancer overall, but of course there will be times that Wonbin may dance well too. By the way, a wider and accentuated move does not necessarily means that it's good. It depends on the type of dance, what is to be expressed in the performance and dynamics are super important too. An example of what I've seen recently, during the fancon, Wonbin and Sohee danced to nct dream's Smoothie side by side. Wonbin's moves were really wide and accentuated, but it ended up looking like his arms were flaying about, and Sohee while not having wide movements looked so much better. It's about the control and angle too. And then you should see Shotaro dancing to Smoothie, his control was impeccable. Basically, wide does not mean better, there are so many things to it.

RIIZE's choreos and positions (except the mini solo dance break in GAG) do highlight Wonbin more so I kind of get it why they picked Wonbin. I usually don’t get in comments but hi i’m thaj from the vid, tbh we were trying to figure out based off what we were shown and I have no clue who’s who until this video not even going to lie,, we were torn btwn shotaro and wonbin I feel like in the things they showed us I was able to see wonbins skill more? I know shotaro is a dancer esp after reading these comments 😭 but in solely what they showed us it was hard to completely tell.. we were only shown two songs so i’m not sure of the rest of the discography or any covers or anything they’ve done so I couldn’t give a proper 100% analysis :( thank you for watching though!

Like dont hate me but those professionals are not professional cause look at the technique in which shotaro dances like i cant even express in words, look at his magic i know wonbin is a great dancer but not in comparision of shotaro. Shotaro has another level of dance and boy he got a groove. Wonbin is most of the time placed in center thats why they can see him dance more. And talking abot charisma shotaro is the most charismatic dancer i have seen in my little pathetic life.
