Hi Steph! Kim in Ohio here…Hoping I can help you out for once Lol. I’m pretty experienced with indoor house plants. One I think you can’t go wrong with is a ZZ plant. They do well in shaded areas, are very hardy, and almost impossible to kill. Try one out!

When My son Brad was born in 1975. My husband worked at Sears and they sent us a dish garden that has several little types of plants in it. The peace Lily kept getting bigger and bigger and bigger And I finally divided it and now I have 2. It has been alive that long.

Hi! Yes, I have. In 2022 that's exactly what I did and it worked out beautifully. I hope these seeds I collected will germinate for me. 🤞🌱 give it a try, it's still early enough to throw some down. Just be sure to remember where you scattered the seeds as to not accidentally weed them out or walk on them. I've done it and was so sad about it lol

I’m on my second Birkin, the first was accidentally killed when my potting shed temperature dipped below 50degrees one winter night when I had to put some of my houseplants in my heated shed to make room in my sun room for the Christmas tree. They do not like the cold at all! Every other plant I had in there was fine. I hope yours perks up for you❤️

I love 💕 this video , the chicken I will most definitely make in the future when my daughters come to visit. You have a beautiful houseplant collection, I also love 💕 your curtains. I had the same struggles with my Pilea plant , It put more growth on during the summertime outdoors, I believe it really liked those conditions . My Garten Center in town has has all kinds of beautiful houseplants for sale during the gardening season and they are only 5 to 6 dollars each so I picked up another Pilea this summer that was a good size and more bushy , so far it’s doing well .

OMG so funny - I am a soup girl, too. I take my crockpot out and make my soup (whichever can be made with whatever I have on hand.) Gotta have lots of garlic in it - gonna try that this year just to see if I can grow it along with my tomatoes to try my summer sauce again. The good news is that my Bakers Creek poppies are doing very well (cold sow method) BUT my Johnny’s champagne poppies are not (surprisingly) and your monstera is BEAUTIFUL. No brown tips and so glossy - you could win a contest. As for the fungus gnats: I use those Amazon glue stakes that are shaped like flowers or suns and they just get trapped in them and then they are gone for good.

I love them and the leaves are nice and long, but I can't take credit for it or tell you any tips or tricks because it came that way. I think that a zz plant in that corner with the spider plant would work beautifully, they are impossible to kill and you can even get a raven zz if you want dark foliage. The monstera adensonii - if you put a pole it will climb and the leaves will be bigger than a plate or more. The silver satin “pothos” is a scindapsis, not a pothos. Your Peace Lily I think needs more light and let it dry in between watering, the leaves should not be curled like that.

I think it would be perfect in the open spot on your cabinet.

Hi Denise! a small drop of dawn dish soap in a spray bottle with water, and spray the soil it helps some. Also, letting the plant dry out between watering. I've learned that leaving the soil moist is perfect breeding grounds for fungus gnats. I've also tried a very weak solution of hydrogen peroxide with water. Like 1 part peroxide to 6 parts water. The sticky traps also work well and I used those I had purchased at Lowes as well. Thank you so much for the plant suggestion, and for watching my video.

Hi Steph! Have you had good success with sowing poppies in this method? I know poppies don’t like having their roots disrupted, but I’m always so nervous to sow them this way! I’ve had decent success with winter sowing and transplanting poppies, but it seems like poppies just generally have a low germination rate for me. I’m considering winter sowing peat pots in milk jugs this year and transplanting the peat pots as a work around! But if you suggest the direct sow into snow and have had good luck, then I trust you and am willing to risk some seeds! ☺️
