Just started to go to Aldi about two months ago. I am now there at least once a week. The prices are better than Walmart, and the items are often better at Aldi, especially things like the chocolate. The almonds in the chocolate are huge, and there are lots of them. At under $2, it is some buy. Also, the milk and eggs are a definite bargain. They are connected to Trader Joe’s, with different products and prices. Definitely worth a look see if you haven’t been there.

I’m not very often going to Aldi or Lidl. But especially before holidays they have original products from Germany. Both stores are German’s store. This year we bought burtwerast ( breakfast sausages and a lot of ginger/ chocolate cookies. Highly recommended.

After seeing your husband cut the pumpkins and set them out for the deer I got the idea to give my 10 year old grandson the job of collecting all the pumpkins break them up and put them in the woods next to our house. He had a blast and goes out to check on them to see whats been eating them.

I love Aldi and get the dark 85% chocolate bar and eat a bite of it daily at lunch...yum! I also use the smoked paprika with sweet potatoes......love the taste. My amarlylis was a gift for my husband and it is growing and flowering in the glass container it came in and it's over 2 ft. tall and gorgeous right now. I just water it weekly. Loved the video!

Hi Steph, I was just wondering if you had an Ocean State Job Lot near you , that’s where I got some more Amaryllis this year for $6.99 and it was a kit with regular cheap pot and coir medium that i had to soak first . I got more of the Apple Blossom variety because i have a beautiful planter and i think that 3 of them will make quite an impact. I also got the Minerva variety. I’m born and raised in Germany and Aldi was our go to store, last January we finally got an Aldi here in my neighboring town , i was sooo excited. Their sweets are my favorites especially at Christmas when they have Lebkuchen, Spekulatius Cookies and litte Lebkuchen hearts with an Apricot filling , so good . We have had Aldis for 30 yr so. Their chicken has the Good Housekeeping seal! I love their fresh spinach, in a bag for $1.29. ❤ please avoid using peat moss as it isn’t sustainable. It is mined like coal from peat bogs that act like carbon sinks and when it is harvested, carbon is released into the atmosphere. Use coconut coir instead. Thanks!

That is great to hear! I have always had a good experience with their chicken, so that makes sense. I don't believe I used peat moss, unless it was mixed into the potting mix I was using? I topped the amaryllis with some green moss. Thank you for sharing. I do like coconut coir.
