It honestly makes sense considering the creators change branch to grey again because they didn't like it. ALTHOUGH if you compare trolls 1 and trolls 2 branch, their skin is different, trolls 1 branch has literally grey color, but trolls 2 branch has a light blue (cyan?) Color instead. So this comic makes sense to me alot, that branch is most likely (possibly) missing is "old" color because he's like that for YEARS.

yeah it's weird that the creators of trolls want to make branch gray again in trolls 2 and 3 but in the trolls the beat goes on and Trollstopia series they make it blue or cyan.

🩷💙These two are just SO CUTE together! Like seriously one of the best yin yang couples EVER! I also love how Branch has a hug time watch now, when through all the first movie he didn’t! Wouldn’t be surprised if Poppy was the one who gave it to him. I’m gonna take a guess when they have the fourth movie(we know it’s gonna happen people!), that Branch’s brothers will also possibly have their own hug time watches too(Floyd at the very least!). Maybe they’ll even make some for Bruce’s family(I can see Poppy trying her best for something like that, if his family wants them anyway!). And I’ll be honest, this makes a lot of sense as why Branch’s hair seems darker now after he got his colors back in the first movie(thanks to him helping Poppy!). I’m gonna be honest, I wasn’t sure the trolls did things like change the color of their hair, but I guess anything’s possible

Actually, to do with branch's hair and skin colour, I thought that it may change in shade depending on his mood, like I don't think it would go back normal that easily just like his experience. I think that his colours not changing fully is a good way of showing that trauma never leaves permanently and that it takes time and healthy interactions to help it heal which would be why branch's skin colour has progressively gotten brighter across the main 3 movies. And, if you look carefully, his hair colour changed slightly too, so its just showing his development other time. Sorry for this huge chunk of writing, I just had this idea for a while and wanted to share it somewhere.

I always saw it as a middle point Like he got to be functional while being grey, so his colors now are like a middle point of his OG personality while allowing happiness to exist in his life
