So the tape you find after is a scientist describing huggy being a test subject, he could cooperate and coordinate, and he locked himself in there. And the screams are workers being slaughtered by huggy wuggy. And huggy tricked you into doing all of that progress, so you got closer to him. So it wasn't just a harmless toy factory, they were performing experiments. That's the scariest part

I love how Huggy is clearly alive but the animators never forgot to make him still seem soft and rag-dollish. When he’s in free fall, he just goes limp and I think that’s really cool. I also really like that most of his arms are basically immobile when he walks, and that he gets all scrunched up in the vent to chase you, but once he gets out of the vent, he can get to you in like two seconds-like he’s built up his vigor and determination to catch you. He’s such a cool character and I hope we see more of him. Maybe we’ll see the part of the factory where he’s made!
