if the Toy Store wasn’t cut, i’d have imagined the interior to look like an actual church that CatNap built for The Prototype. like imagine the corpses of dead toys decorated on the walls and ceiling kinda like the Sedlec Ossuary in the Czech Republic, The Prototype’s statue on the far back wall with ominous lighting, and an altar where CatNap would stand behind to pray. i mean, yeah, Theodore would’ve needed to be an artist to achieve such a thing, but he worshipped The Prototype and had years of free time in Playcare lol

Out of bounds in the previous chapter, you could find the model of MLL's hand grabbing the Huggy doll that was used for a trailer. I assume that the VHS footage was also "filmed" in-engine and the model was just left there afterwards. Alternatively, maybe it was used in an earlier idea for the section or for some kind of reference while the level was being built. As we've seen, the devs for this series don't spend a lot of time removing unused assets, haha.

I wonder if another one of the reasons they stated to only use the prototype shrine if the toystore was cut, is because you can actually see Boxy Boo is on the shrine. He's one of the only major few characters we see on the shrine that we have never seen in the main game. The prison being the chapter 4 location actually makes a lot of sense lore-wise, and it's even sort of mentioned in one of the tapes where the researcher says "This prison is where you belong." I believe that the N64 controller would also be with the console, and would be around the area that children used to play games on, probably scrapped once the Hour of Joy date was finalized, 8/8/1995, it was scrapped because the N64 console released around 13 months after that date, so including the console after that wouldn’t make sense. That’s just a lore standpoint, no damn clue what they were planning to do with *using* it.

With the covered sign saying 'Prison' it likely dictates that it was just supposed to be a little hidden and a bit harder to make out. That phone call in the telling you to run sounds like, to me at least, like CatNap but if his voice wasn't as echo-y or scratchy. I wish they could at least tell us what would've happened in the Toy Store cause that might be something modders could bring back on their own for fun or at least for the fans so they can know what could've been.

The audio in the radio is from Silent Hills PT, a game that came out in 2014, meant to be a teaser for a Silent Hill game that got canceled! The hallucination sequence is clearly inspired by PT, which had an endless looping hallway, doors banging when you walked next to them, and a guy on the radio with those messages! He even does the thing where he interrupts himself and says things like “You can’t trust the tap water” and “Look behind you.” PT is a terrifying game and it’s no wonder Ch 3 was so much scarier when they were taking inspiration from games like that. Hey also I think the prison is the 'labs' or an area in the prison because one of the catnap tapes says "this prison is where you belong" so maybe we are going where they experimented on the toys and kept them *so maybe we will see where all the other toys are like daddy long legs and other big body initiative are kept that we haven't seen* or maybe the prison is some what connected to the labs and it is technically in the prison just sectioned of so maybe we will see what the porotype would look like since presumably he still lives in the 'labs' and comes out when he needs to
