Poppy update no.2! Elephant ear repotting!

They a very green , mine are outside and it's getting cold here in the northeast USA, we have very cold winters from dec-march.. and what I do now is dig up the corms and wrap them newspaper in my cellar and I replant them in the spring .. they love water and they will grow also grow in plain water ..... but they tend to be .. smaller and grow slower .. she Looks great ! 🌱🌿

So adorable to see both clips and see how well you plant is growing lease updates us on how she does with the new mix you made. I’m having an issue with mine! It’s getting white spots and white burning throu the leaf! No idea what it is so searching on here happy to run into your clip!

You might have a spider mites issue so check closer for webs! Otherwise it’s not getting enough nutrients so give it some plant feed liquid or pot into bigger pot with new soil mix with worm castings so it can feed slowly 🥰 Also she’s grown another two big leaves! ❤️

Thanks for watching! Correct I didn’t tease it because I didn’t want to upset her roots and the last time I repotted her she didn’t need teasing and grew out into her new pot really well, I think plants are smart enough to find their way 😊

Only thing I can think of is not enough light? But outside should be much more sun than mine which is indoors. Is your pot size big enough?

great video. my elephant ear keeps drooping when the leaf grows too big. the base/foundation isn’t strong enough :/ any tips of stopping them from drooping?

Are you sure it’s drooping because of the base or because it’s not getting enough light? You should put it in a bigger pot or a heavy pot so it can hold up the plant. Ceramic or add rocks at bottom to give it some weight 😊
