Last time I ate at Sylvia’s was 2001, not pleased. I liked Amy Ruth’s, but it was super expensive. Pink Teacup is also a ripoff. I loved Maroons, but it’s closed now. I loved a place in Jersey called Je’s, also gone. Just make the darn food yourself!

This is so sad to hear about the decline of Sylvia's I remember going about 12 years ago and it was so good. Sylvia was still living and the hospitality was on point. I went to NYC again in 2017 and went to Syliva's taking my daughter and I had bragged about the food...well sadly we were both disappointed. I got the dullest, lackluster, no flavor collard greens in my life! My daughter had the chicken and waffles and she was unimpressed. I am so glad to learn of some great soul food places from you so the next time I come to visit NYC I can enjoy some good soul food..I'm glad you both enjoyed your trip to Los Angeles...

Los Angeles is a place where knowing people will change your whole experience. There are soooo many after-hours spots but you need to know folks to be invited or know where they are. You will learn that once you pass the mountains (Past the Getty) The rent a little cheaper and you get more space. BUT, it's a different kind of folk. In-n-Out is soo nasty. lol I want yall to go to New Orleans and vlog! I wanna see everything. Oh, and go see Bondy!!!!
