Can I ask a silly question, I have a mk5 gti 07 , car starts and goes but after shes warmed up when I stop at traffic light the car feels a bit lumpy , I changed plugs the carbon filter and the fuel purge valve, nothing has worked could it be that thing and does that make it pop n bang ?

Best thing to do at this point is to get the car checked with VagCom. Also it could be down to dirty fuel, maf sensor or even a leak in vacuum or boost pipes. Start of with a code scan and then you can slowly rule out the other options. Hope this helps mate and hope it gets sorted for you. Keep in touch. Thanks

Hi mate great video, I've got a stage 2+ leon k1 (345 bhp-380lb/ft). Would you go for the pcv delete, a catch can or a revised pcv? Can't get a straight answer on the forums.

Nice car the k1 I would recommend you do just a pcv delete.. sometimes keeping it simple works just as good. Hope that helps u 👍

Hi no the car has no cats as these have 2 so have both been removed along with the resonator removed. So on the exhaust there is only the backbox. Intake wise its running a ramair intake with an Oversized filter.

Hi mate 240bhp is a decent amount of power, they are prone to fail even on standard cars. I'm sure there is a revised part if not I would look into deleting it to save your self hassle in the future

If you plan on having your car long term don’t delete your pcv, I bought my car with a pcv delete on it and I took it off and noticed 0 difference replace with a new revision pcv

@@hanzgrueber145 why did you take it off? I put one on after going through a couple of the latest revision R but the car didn't like them for some reason. The one that on was hissing when blown into the new ones were not. All adaptations were deleted and still no joy. The delete sorted out the surge and vacuum leak codes. Car's been great, 2.0 TT Mk2.

Only when running big horsepower it can blow out the rear main seal. I mainly put it on to replace the faulty one and as they do get faulty often save a bit of money as well.

Hi, my old PCV valve failed, the stock ones are common to fail hence why it was blanked off opposed to buying a replacement. Have really noticed any benefits or problems.

In ordee to make the car pop and bang at your control you would have to get the car remapped and ask the mapper do code in the pops and bangs for you

@@AbdullahSy17 search up "car tuning/mapping" near you, most tuners can do a pop and bang tune for a little extra, if you are looking to pay a bit extra look into REVO or APR maps

The pops and bangs are crazy a little over the top. You can tell the tune is designed for the pops and bangs and not power. I bet you annoy the piss out of your neighbours hahahah. If you are running a decat and no back box if you go for a decent tune you will get some pops and bangs and they will be a lot different to what you have now and not as over the top. Plus the sound will be from a car that's tuned for performance and not just one to make loads of pops and bangs and a high performance car that cracks off sound 100000× better. Also a lot louder but it won't happen every touch if the throttle.

Hi mate I dont know what makes you think it's been tuned just for pops and bangs, if anything you couldn't be more wrong. The car has been tuned with power in mind. The pops and bangs were just an add on, which I'm sure if you knew your stuff you'd know they can be coded in to the owners desire. The sound of the car is no where near the same in real life as presented in the video due to the compression of quality when the video is uploaded on youtube. If the decat was removed an engine light would appear on the car and would require coding out. Also not to forget the car will use more fuel than needed if I went for your option. With my set up I get to choose when I would like to have fun and also be sensible when needed instead of being inconsiderate to my neighbours. Hope that helps :)

Main reason for getting rid of the pcv valve is to minimise the chance of leaks. The pcv pipe work under the inlet is notorious for boost/vac leaks, and the vacuum drawn breathing on idle isn't really needed, by fitting a catch can you're just letting the engine breath naturally. You can leave the pcv system in place and still fit a catch tank, and it's also possible to remove the pcv part of the breather system without fitting a catch tank, although it's best to do both
