If they understood shear and moment their bridge should have different configuration...in a simply supported structure, the highest moment is at the center and zero at supports...therefore the strongest part of the bridge should be at the center. they should made center of the bridge deeper and stronger...

If this bridge design was invented 300 year earlier we probably save so many trees because this type design is Perfeks for railway

With footage of failure from the side they could have analyzed the failure mechanism of all these and improved. Is it material failure in shear, compression or longitudinal? Connection failure? Who knows.

Of course the first one, the most conservative one is the winner, for UDL only though. The second one puts wood in compression at max. Shear ????? The third one puts moments into the chords and using longer wood compression members.?? Please, back to basics, remember you can't push a rope and water runs downhill.

Without the music and speed up until the failure would of made for a lot better video. Spread out over the span isn't as interesting as a single point where the weight is placed. And what were the design parameters? One girl had a structure that went down to the floor, using this logic I could win the next Kentucky Derby by using a Suzuki 250 dirtbike as my mount of choice. That girl might of taken 1st if they had enough round weights those pieces of rail were pretty bad.

Are you allowed to rip, cut, carve, drill, and sand the popsicle sticks?
@binaryglitch64

I ask because if it's graded on weight ratio (itself to how much it can carry) than if done right, you can literally shave weight... without compromising the structural Integrity too much... allowing more bracing for the same weight.

the too weak counter-arrow of the bridge causes its ruin. The care of making the assemblies should be better done, similar to a 1:1 bridge

Do not throw your experiments in the trash after the static resistance test. you still need to figure out what the breaking points are and fix the weak spots, maybe. learn how to precisely place the cameras for your sequence analysis in milliseconds like with explosives, maybe.

jeffrey bail explain how the higher you go the further you can see. No need for self conducted experiments, just walk up a mountain and explain why you can see further than on the ground.
@jeffreybail353
@jeffreybail353 6 жыл бұрын
Thats a natural testable observable experiment Obz of course you can see more and further mainly due to: 1.Your vantage point has been raised means you are now seeing down range on to things and not scimming th surface with your eyes much less infraction more clarity from further up, less heatwave flimmering, air moiusture, smog etc that you would have to look through from a ground eye level. It is pretty self explaining and logical if you go outdoors and see for yourself.
