Huge popsicle bridge contest! Steel hook bends and SCALES MAX OUT!

This is a video about our annual popsicle stick bridge contest! How much weight can 200 popsicle sticks and a bottle of glue support? You won’t believe this! This video is full of energy and the atmosphere was electric as we see the amazing tallent! We have engineers in the making!

I remember making bridges out of balsa wood in High school. Mine beat everyone in my class. Never saw the hook bend out. That was amazing 🤘

I do remember last year's competition for sure and how well your boys did then and now they have excelled again. Well done David and Mathew you have done yourselves proud by participating. And learning from last year. This event challenges your minds in construction and physics. Your dad has always shown you the right way too construct be it a roof or barn or hay or corn building. Congratulations guys ! I couldn't understand most of the commentary during the contest. Sometimes recorded voices sound like they're underwater and it's almost impossible to understand. It was very entertaining watching them put the Bridges to the test. With three of your Boys winning an award I'd say that they have a good grasp on what it takes to be a Civil Engineer. Thanks for the questions! It takes a week or two depending on the design. The sticks are called popsicle sticks. The are made to hold ice cream and other frozen treats! The building is indeed a shop.... but much more! It is a venue for such occasions as well as others! The top prize depends on how many enter the contest and pay for the sticks and glue. The top prize this year was 70$ and my boys brought home a total of 150$ Not a bad night!😂

Well I guess I edited the final weight out😂🤣😂 It was 622 lbs. I edited this one very tight! Over 75 minutes of footage down to 27 minutes. But it is a great video if I have to say so myself!😂
