That's what people love about her. She's so successful but she still thinks of herself as that Girl who came from that Council House in Newcastle. I had no idea that it existed. Also don't you notice that in the UK and The US so many Kids came from Council Houses/Low Income Housing Projects. It shows it's not where you come from that counts, it where you end up. I would love for Nadine to go to one of The Performing Arts High Schools and do a Mini Lecture Tour in New York, Philly (Boyz To Men), Ohio (98 Degrees), and even Baltimore, MD (Aliyah & Tupac Shakur RIP). They could learn so much from her and what she went through.

I liked Cheryl before she went and made herself look like "every other celeb"! She was unique here, beautiful because she had imperfect teeth, chubbier face, she used to be a size 10, now she is a size 6-8, her mom even stated that fact! How she used to love Cheryl when Cheryl loved herself. It's the same media pressures of body image that Cheryl and every other girl in the world feels: having to look perfect, thin/skinny, straight teeth, nice skin/hair! yes, but there is a difference between a great singer and a great performer... cheryl has great stage pressence but an okay voice, while nadine has a great voice, like killer, while and average stage pressence, and Cheryl has an instinct to perform, but Cheryl only cares about the audience being happy and having fun, she cares all about the stage pressence, and not really the voice, nadine is all voice!

Nadine is more Blue Eyed Soul in the tradition of Dusty Springfield and Amy Winehouse (RIP), Lisa Stansfield, Duffy, Jessi J, and Natasha Bedingfield not to mention Adele. Since Adele raised the Bar so High for Singers of her Genre it's hard to get across. Also look at The US, there hasn't been a successful Male R & B Group since B2K or a Male Vocalist in R & B after Usher.

Can't believe the horrible comments about Nicola! She was 16 and just won a singing contest that got her into the biggest girl band of the 21st century. That girl has been through so much! Like the abuse she went through when she was younger to the point she didn't want to be pale and went into this obsession for fake tan! Now she's came to her senses and realised she is perfect the way she is and if people can't accept her for that then so be it, Nicola it so inspirational and I am so proud to call her and the the other 4 girls my idols!💕

@NYTOC Well, she still has that bump in her nose and she says she would never change it because it's the imperfections that make you pretty. And I know that Cheryl's main insecurity is her body because she thinks she's too skinny and has no bum, but she says that she does entire days of dancing with no time for full meals, and all she eats is chocolate. And as for the teeth, I'm okay with that, because she was supposed to have braces as a kid but she couldn't afford them, so she did it later!

People are far too cruel towards Cheryl. Yes she probably did only get into Girls Aloud because of her visual appeal, and no she’s not a great singer. But she’s stayed relatively grounded and humble despite everything she has achieved. Even while with Ashley Cole and having Bentleys and other flash cars rained down on her, she still felt uncomfortable and expressed a wish to just remain the same simple council estate Geordie girl that she was here. Even today she’s raising her son away from the limelight, with no desire to see him exposed to the same intrusion that the paparazzi put her through. Say what you want about Cheryl as a singer, but she’s at least shown she’s a good mother and still to this day, not resting on her laurels. She’s had her career, she’s clearly done with fame. There won’t be anymore solo albums, Girls Aloud reunions or appearances in stage plays. Cheryl is finished. She now just wants to live in peace with her boy. Fair play to her I say.

Even then Cheryl knew how to play the game because she was a child model appeared in commercials on TV and advertising boards and went the Royal National Ballet School in London for a summer which she didn’t mention. special and different to the group which is why it was so successful! Just like boy bands, who all look different and all sound different. Cheryl too, has a lower vocal register but that adds to the sound when the group sings in harmony. It's something you can hear better when listening to an acapella performance. Each girl in Girls Aloud appeals to at least one person, Cheryl from her audition was told she was pretty, gorgeous etc. So yes, maybe she got in 'cause of looks, but the group is

Watch the song performance of Control of the Knife/Trick Me or Passions of Girls Aloud, and you will be shocked at the intensity and passion to which Cheryl performs from. Nadine is the best vocalist, has had some vocal training, has widest vocal range and really look at her old stuff, she knows her voice better. Sarah, and Kimberly are equal in vocal capabilities but Kim has book smarts. She is brilliant and loves to study, whilst Sarah is into arts &

Ballet school, not stage school. The ballet school she goes to doesn't do acting/singing or even modern dance - just ballet, like professional ballet company-style ballet. :)

They all had the right chemistry to work as a girl band. Nadine was clearly the best singer but always seemed a bit up herself with no likeabilty whatsoever. Cheryl the extremely good looking headline grabber that the media tended to focus on. Kimberly the sensible, always well behaved mother figure of the band with lots of likeability.
