I was honor to meet Kenny Rogers, his grandmother and a few of his family back in the late 90's, My mother-n-law's sister lived next door to Mr. Rogers grandmother in Crockett TX, and we were honored to have Thanksgiving dinner with them. I sat for hrs talking to Mr. Rogers, one of the most kindest and heartwarming man I ever met. I will always remember and cherish that moment in time with him and his family. I tear up just thinking about him being gone now. Sing high Mr. Rogers. Thank You for all the great songs, movies and your kind heart. R I P..

Valentino Gabriel You need to look up his movies! Some were big screen, some made for TV and some even are collaborations with Dolly Pardon! I grew up on their music and various movies and shows!!! I'm not the type to go all fanatic over anyone "famous", But I have cried and cried over Kenny's passing. I've only ever done that one other time and that was when Princess Diana passed! I know it will affect me similarly when Dolly's, Loretta's Willie's and a few others pass because they are/were good inside and out, shown by proof of what they did and supported throughout their lives! I'm not saying they were perfect and/or without sin, but NONE of us are!

For some reason I thought this movie was a western, even though I saw it when I was a kid. I must have gotten it confused with another movie of the same story. It presents itself better as a western. After killing the Gatlins, Tommy could have become a hired gun, roaming the Old West, cleaning up the country of those that needed killin'.

While I AM a gaming you-tuber by the age of only 15 I've come to love old-style movies and old-fashioned country music, and to see a movie like this put up on a website where new-aged games and other technological advances rule it makes me one of the happiest people alive to see this put up, and for that I thank you. Also in all of my 15 years on this earth I've learned in life that you don't always need to fight pointless fights just because someone is questioning your manhood, in fact I always avoid fighting fights that aren't necessary which in those situations makes me (or you if you do the same) the bigger person because in the end you're the one who will win without even a single ounce of real trouble.

This was an excellent story and Kenny Rogers played his part very well. Tommy was never a coward and the Gatlin brothers were mean spirited bullies who ended up getting their just desserts. In the bible, if a soldier was newly wed, he did not have to report for duty until after a year. Also, if a boy is an only son he can have an exemption so his line can continue. Too many war brides became widows, unnecessarily during WWII.

In the song Kenny rogers never mentioned in the song that he was in a brawl himself!!! This explains why he says I "heard him say" I promised you dad not to do the things you've done" Turns out he was one badass Uncle!

Kenny Rogers your so right my Man /// when I first heard * The Coward of the County !!! it spoke to me 😃 because I have fought some , and I have lost some & I have tyed some BC / I mainly done all that fighting stuff when I was younger & fighting is not easy & so anyways...so like now I'm like 36 years old , so anyways the last time I was engaged in a fight this guy I admit I had to turn the other cheek " because the guy could have pulled out a knife or gun * so anyways sometimes you gotta to turn the other cheek or be killed or use your Smartness BC / when somebody does a Good person wrong 😇 God has a way of Showing people in their wrong Amen !!!!

God! Not Gods! It would be great if you did all in your power to change that word! For your own sake. Fix it if a silly error, and if on purpose, You have lots to learn, and probably even more than this to fix.
