According to Neighborhood Scout and City-Data, Aiken has a high crime rate. One of the highest crime rates in America comparing it to other communities of the same size. Chance of becoming a victim is 1 in 25. What a shame since Aiken has alot of great things to offer.

I wanted to mention the popular events that are more like annual traditions in Aiken. There are a ton of equestrian events throughout the year.
