This was one of my favorite videos. The cute competition style of filming in the beginning and the aprons!, the way he gave her a little kids so lovingly, the way she just worships him and his cake, and when he dances at the end! I could just die from the sweetness of this couple lol

They are both lovely. My Yugoslavian grandmother would use the entire dining table. She rolled the dough so thin it was like looking through glass! She used nuts, raisins and apples. Yours is definitely German and delicious 😋!

Absolutely delightful! Since I also am on a gluten free diet, I always appreciate your record. My German grandmother (gross mutter 😊) had a recipe that we lived, but haven't found in her recipes. She just called it apple slices, but was very similar to what you made here. It was divine with a cup of tea. Now I must try both recipes! My limited German is so rusty, and while I could make out numbers from Joerg, it made no sense in my brain! Haha!!

A Strudel isn't a cake either. It' s own category. You can also fill it spicy, for example with spinach, feta, garlic and sliced almonds. The dough looked a little thick, I think. You have to roll it out till you can read the newspaper underneath. But I don't know, if this works with gluten-free flour. Nevertheless both cakes look absolutely amazing! And thanks for the funny ending! Greetings from good old Germany! (I'm living in Leonberg 😉)

Yummmm! We would love both but when Jorge talked about adding raisins soaked in rum well that did it, we voted for the strudel. I think the raisins could be added to your apple "cake" and topped with whipped cream would get our attention. Loved the out takes. We got to see a fun side of Jorge that was surprising.

Both apple dishes looked good. Warming and then ice cream on side, heaven. Joerg’s let’s his silly side fly at the end. Lol. Really, enjoyed him there. In America, there is so much German traditional food brought over hundreds of years ago and apples, beer and sausages are like our foods now. Apfelstrudel gibt es bei uns auch ab und zu, aber ich ziehe den Strudelteig sehr dünn aus damit man das Geschirrtuch durchsieht. Köstlich!!! Eure Schürzen sind der Hammer:)) Total passend! Da hätte ich mich auch zu einem Tee dazugesetzt. Schon allein der Duft beim Apfelkuchenbacken ist herrlich. Die Tanzeinlage und Jörg's Sprüchle am Schluss war total genial.
