Hello, my dear lovelies. In this video, I'll be making this Japanese fish-shaped cake for breakfast. I've been obsessed with this fish like cake and so I decided to buy y own taiyaki pan. I got my pan from here: www.amazon.co....
Taiyaki is a delicious treat that you can enjoy as a snack. I usually eat the traditional one with anko paste (red bean paste) but I decided to use Nutella instead for the filling in this video. Nutella is quite versatile. I can use it on anything like pancakes, breads or hot drinks. You can also use other fillings like cream cheese and fruit jam.
Here are the ingredients you can prepare ahead for this recipe:
Taiyaki:
150 grams of Plain White Flour
20 grams of Corn Flour
4 grams of Baking Soda
4 grams of Baking Powder
1 large Egg (55 grams)
35 grams of Caster Sugar
170 grams of Whole Milk
1 tsp of melted Butter for greasing
Filling:
Nutella
Cream Cheese
Anko Paste
Jam

I wonder if theres any other way to make these without the mold thingy T-T

@Has6409 I actually can't think of any other way since the batter is runny, so it needs a mould to sandwich the filling. The best you can do is probably make a pancake, and before the top is fully set, add the filling and cover it with the batter before flipping or probably make something like dorayaki.
