All South Indian state governments must teach Carnatic music basics in schools as mandatory class.
@templetours94 жыл бұрын
Excellent idea. Because people do not understand the meaning of the kirtanas, a majority of people in Southern India respect Vedic/Carnaticmusic but enjoy film music more. This was found in a survey around 2008.

Really awesome thought. My wife dedicated her life to Carnatic classical music and working as HOD music in a international school where carnatic classical songs are given preference along with other devotional songs.
@Gaurinrao44 жыл бұрын
Great idea. Campaign for it and promote it. That is the only way to get it going in schools from pre-KG all the way to middle school. Then the children can choose to opt out based on their likings. At least they will know the culture and importance of classical music. Research has shown that learning classical music at a young age, increases IQ.

It is a pity you too don't understand love of Karnatic Music by Tamils. Purandara Dasa were set to music Madam Latangi and her daughter M L Vasantakumari Propogated all over South. It was languishing even in Karnataka. The original ragas of Purandara Dasa was lost long before. Same is true of Annamacharya. Malladii brothers were one of the repository and no one can deny the yeomen service done by M.S. Kshetegya Padams. And Javalis were preserved by T Brinda T Mukta sisters. And Nadaswaram paddathi was preserved by the temples of Tanjore. Just like The trinity Tanjore quarter made yeomen service. And many songs in Tamil came from various musicians in Tanjore. This fanaticism of others helped bring out the gems in Tamils. Whethe you like it not yo lost Baton long back. We never neglected even Swathi Thirunal who did not sing in Tamil where he even sang in Hindi. It is the attitude of some who go by pseudo name such as Truth are far away from it. I love Carnatic music. I wish I will born again and be able to master a tiny part of the ocean of music. I was not taught. Where as my sisters were taught and my one sister A Top artist of Air. We love the music. We are not pseudo lovers. We do not claim perfection. But we follow the dictum of Tyagaraja, Dikshitar, or Shastri who certainly were saints. It is a legend that Tyagaraja stopped composing Ananda Bhairavi at the request of a small artist. May the Music bless all of us.

Lord rama himself came to the thiagaraja swamy's home to bless him. Here language has nothing to do with. Please try to understant the pious life of thiagaraja swamy and salute him for his outstanding contribution to the divine world. Till the universe exists his name should be sung. By listening his keertana we feel heaven. Imagine the state of mind of the Great Saint Thyagaraja. It is a flow after full immersion about Rama. Every cell of his breath Rama. Lord Rama also delayed his darshan to extract more from the saint :-). Probably he might have not composed his kirtanas consciously. . It might have flown from his heart n soul out of total surrender to Rama. What a noble soul. Blessed to born in South India and lucky to hear his keertanas.

After having learned carnatic music for 7 years, it is safe to say that I am headlong deep into the magical world of Sri Thyagarajar and his beautiful compositions. I feel like he is just, sitting there and singing these songs with Lord Rama, Seetha and Lakshmanan looking on in secrecy from behind the shrine. I am a Palakkad Iyer but I decided to learn the basics of Telugu and some of the words being rooted to Samskritham helped a lot too! ❤️

Beautiful telugu carnatic compositions of Sait Thyagaraja are in the safe hands of great Tamil people.Who said Tamils are fanatic about their language? Nobody knows better than Tamils how to respect and preserve Bharatheeya Samskriti.But for them we would have LOST Thyagaraja and his compositions by now. My Padabhivandanam to the Tamil people.🙏🕉️

Why is conflict the first thing that comes to your mind when hearing such melodious music?

@@krishnanunnimadathil8142 if you are aware that there are some stray instance where locals and non locals point raised. Ex. In Telangana State, Andhra people are treating step mother treatment & In Maharastra State also some years ago there was issue raised about certain celebraties native place/State and his/her mother tongue etc. In Assam State and neighbouring north eastern States people also ill treat other than north easter State people. I think you may remember. In view of this I welcomed your comments about vocal in Telugu in right spirit and I don't know whether you understand the meaning of that songs or not.

It's true. I asked same question that title must be telugu. Then one tamil guy replied to my comment that I have congested mind. Now title changed only as త్యాగరాయ songs.. even they don't want to mention that as telugu thayagaraja songs. That's how tamilians gives respect telugus.

Tamil, Andhra, Kannada, Maratha, Northi, Punjabi, Assamese, Gujarathi, Oriya the list is endless. Where is Indian, disappeared long ago. It is high time that every one should think as Indians irrespective of caste,religion, region. The Great country of ours should be made still great if we have to adopt our culture.
