I actually found an easier way to do this. I use the valve index, with these controllers, if you press and hold the B button on your controller (top button on your off-hand), it will open up a ping wheel. You can then select the blue ping and hover the blue ping on the drop to see if anything pops up.

I'M NOT TAKING ADVICE FROM A ROBO FURRY! (jk, idgaf lol) Some good bits of info here. Never thought to wall block grenades. On dampening - I leave my dampening at half and just work my grip hand slower (they need to have an ADS dampening option)... idk why switching annoys me so much. Might make a bigger difference in 4x zoom shots though? I'm not entirely sure.

Finding a good middle ground dampening is good. I only turn it on personally for long range awp shots.

@@Sumatchi totally get that. What's your take on the 4x zoom. Vape says he doesn't use it because it delays muscle memory, but I find it incredibly useful at times. What's your take?

@@Ectohelix vape is also playing on quest which has lower resolution by default. It's one of the reasons I think he doesn't use the sako. It helps at very long range for when you can only see the very corner of someone, otherwise I'll leave at 2x usually. Sometimes I'll use for very long range sniper shots if they are flying too

Make sure you stay aware of how close people are . Dropping into a match with dampening on or if someone rushes you and you're stuck 2handing a gun with it on it can really screw you

@@Brythemagicguy1 it will make it so your aim isn't quite as snappy and you can't follow targets quite as well. Because it "dampens " your muscle shake it will also dampen the quickness of the flick shots

I'm right handed. I am left eye dominant so I choose to choose lefty so the gun is more easily focused and centered and I can keep both my eyes open when I shoot way easier. I keep offhand influence on at 100% because it is most similar to PavlovVR, which is another game I play competitively. It is also most like reality.

I'm right handed, but I shoot with my left because my left eye is my dominant eye. The reload is actually pretty forgiving and the slide being on the side . You don't have to reach to the other side of the gun to reload or anything.

Do you flick shot with your left or right hand? when you're holding the weapon with your right. ie) do you use the offhand influence hand to adjust the position mainly? like you would in onward / pavlov?

Sako is the gun that I would flick shot the most with, and I'd say my right hand, which is my front hand. This is why I need offhand at 100. Putting offhand at 100% also makes it so you don't randomly let go of your gun with your off-hand when panning around.

Great commentary. I still can’t figure out what sound happens when an enemy’s shields go down. What did you mean by desync grenades? I’ve noticed intake damage from my own grenades sometimes when I think there are plenty of walls between us.

Desynched grenades means sometimes the grenade animation doesn't match where the server thinks the grenade is. So a dead on grenade will miss or you'll randomly die from a grenade that doesn't look close

I personally two hand all the guns except shotguns in really close quarters. Using 2 hands on them will not increase damage, but will reduce the spread of the pellets.

This depends on which headset you are using. For me on the index, I press the a button on my offhand to pull up a menu thst has an option to "exit to lobby". I am not sure the button for other systems .

There should be a dot when you use the sights. Some sights only show up when holding the weapon with 2 hands . You can change sight color in weapon settings

What are your thoughts about the Offhand Influence. I like the way 100% feels but it's really annoying how the crosshair jumps a bunch when I grab with second hand and then I have to re-aim.

I love offhand 100%. I don't do much one handed shooting personally and it helps my habits stay good for when I go and play PavlovVR. Offhand 100% also makes it so your gun stays in your offhand no matter how much you move it. If you change offhand to 99% or anything less, if you move your offhand too much it will drop the gun out of your hand which is super annoying for me.

It is personal preference. Snap turn is for people newer to vr so they don't get motion sick. Smooth turn is more like normal games. I just made a remastered beginner tutorial that goes more in depth into all of the settings that I recommend checking out!
