The weird thing is that "spastic" in America and the UK have completely separate connotations. In America, it evolved from a medical diagnosis to a slur, then got overused to the point where it just became a byword for "clumsy." In the UK, the word never really got to that point of being a slur until the 1980's before people grew up and got offended by it, so it never got overused to the point where it got past being a slur. Now you know why it was changed in the UK.

In the Europe version they change the word to "erratic", because "spastic" it's a offensive way to call someone with cerebral palsy. *Edit:* I'm probably wrong about that though, I watched long time ago a video talking about that and thought it would be cool to comment about this detail.
