Just tried it for a good while but it's either patched or requires extreme accuracy. Couldn't pull it off...

It's pretty precise, need to be centered-ish on the block, which is hard in the dark.

How did you freeze your fuel?

You mean during the final boss ? Looks like its not wasting fuel if hes not moving, hence why he basically stays on the same few tiles for the whole fight.
