This was the first BBQ/cook on the Asmoke pellet BBQ grill. The first video I posted was a BBQ St Louis style pork rib video so it felt appropriate for the first cook on a new BBQ to be pork spare ribs. This cook was intended to put the Asmoke to the test and get a feel for how it performed during a longer cook. I, personally, enjoy the full spare ribs so that is what I cooked today. It is essentially untrimmed before it goes into the BBQ. I did not take the membrane off of the back but I did score it. I love the apple wood smoke flavor that you get from the Asmoke pellets. It goes really well with pork.
if you're interested in the Asmoke Pellet Grill please use this link to get their website: bit.ly/3vXuc32
Cook summary:
1 rack Full Spare ribs
Season all sides with your favorite BBQ rub
BBQ at 250 degrees until probe tender (This took about 7.5 hours on the Asmoke) Your cook times will be different.
After 3 hours spray the ribs with 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water every hour
(Optional) Apply BBQ sauce to the ribs approx. 1 hour before they are done cooking.
Remove the ribs from the BBQ and let them rest under tin foil
Enjoy

I purchased the asmoke as well when it was on indiegogo. I've cooked chicken and beef back ribs. My only problem was with long cooks, you have to empty the ash tray or you lose heat and haven't figured out an easy way

I haven't had a problem with the ash build-up but I certainty have had to add pellets during the cook. I hope you're liking your Asmoke. Cheers!

Hello Smoked Reb BBQ. Great info. Contemplating the Asmoke or the Pit Boss Tabletop. Your heat dispersion test with the slices of ehite bread showed that the east/west portion of the grill grate recieves the bulk of the heat, were as the north/south portion recieves lessor heat. So, I'm confused why the ribs were layed east/west on the grate. It looked like the ends were charred while the middle portion of the ribs were less charred. Would it have been better to have layed the ribs in the north/south direction on the grate, thus cauding a more even cook? Thanks for your channel. Thanks for being a family Dad. God bless.

You are correct, that would have been better but you'll have to cut the ribs in half for them to fit on the grill. Thanks for stopping by. I love the interaction and feedback! Cheers.

I not sure what is the problem. There might be some inconsistency in the pellet output? Sorry for being more helpful.

Loved the Fun Fact, starting with coffee knowing the length of smoke these required, and the shirt. So, do you recommend the Asmoke for them next time or back to BGE?

My favorite BBQ is still the BGE but the size and convenience of the Asmoke is noteworthy.
