Amazing. Breathtaking. And naturally, funny as hell. Mike D's got some Vanilla Ice thing happening, AD-Rock is hoarse and screamy, and my man MCA is chill, in the pocket, rocking a ratty old Bad Brains shirt and just where he needs to be.

I was at this venue on that day. I was watching their live in the center of the front row. At that time, I threw my cap on Ad-rock. And he played the guitar while wearing my cap. beastieboys! Thank you for making very good memories! I still love them. MCA, RIP ...

+Charlie Burns This was during Adrock's "yelling" phase. Thankfully he chilled out on it. It was annoying. All the shows he did in 1991-1994 he yelled every line.

+panrick It is beyond annoying.

Trulysarcastic44 I wonder if the other two Beastie Boys had an intervention with him about it.
@johnbelmont4558 жыл бұрын
+panrick Adrock isn't at his best here but the Asian climate would be a contributing factor. It's easy to underestimate the effect this has on vocal performances, sports etc. Chuck in jet lag, dehydration and also consider that Horowitz has the most energy intensive style of the trio. He yells on record too and sounds fresh, but is struggling to replicate his usual performance here because his voice is shot. Consider that his rapping voice is not his completely natural voice, but is performed to an extent, it's like an impersonation that you can do better under certain conditions. Can't imagine the other two taking him to one side over this 'Hey Ad I know we been touring a while but.. could you adapt your physiology to the Asian climate so you always sound exactly like you do on wax?'.

Me love Mix Master Mike, but Hurricane rocks it here. I once shook his hand in Leeds. "That's the hand that did the Shake Yr Rump scratch" i told people.
@JamBurglar9 жыл бұрын
+Michael McCartney Yo, oddly enough, it was one of the Dust Brothers (probably EZ Mike Simpson). Hurra didn't do the album scratches for the most part (he was their "tour DJ".) After Paul's Boutiqu and up until Mix Master Mike came along the Beasties did their own cuts usually. For example, the cuts on Jimmy James are all MCA, and the cuts on Fingerlickin Good are Adrock. They still did a lot of the album scratches even after MMM joined. Crazy huh?
